He was born on April 5, 1959 in Pavlo-Maryanivka village, Snihuriv district, Mykolaiv region.
Since May 11, 2007, he has been working as a director of the municipal enterprise “Oleshky” — the enterprise is under the jurisdiction of the Kherson District Council.
He is the founder and head of the public organization “Sports Club of Martial Arts in Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo and Judo”, the district public organization “Federation of Sambo and Judo”, as well as the enterprise “Oleshky Cottage Town”.

Who is Santa Claus, who gave 32 hectares of sand deposits in Kherson region to the citizens of Donetsk region?
Recently, the painful topic of sand theft in the Kherson region has been developed.
On July 3, 2018, the Kherson Regional Court of Appeal issued a ruling that returned 16 land plots with a total area of 32 hectares of Podokalynivka sand deposits to state ownership. But, to be honest, there is little reason to rejoice.

In 2007, the Ministry of Environmental Protection issued a special permit No. 4250 to Yuzhnoukrainskyi Piskok LLC for the extraction of sand at the Podokalynivske deposit, Pivnichna area, valid for 20 years.
Despite the fact that this site has nothing to do with agriculture and is intended for industrial mining, on December 30, 2009, the head of the Oleshky District State Administration, in violation of the law, made a “Christmas tree gift” to 16 citizens of Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast, by granting them plots of reserve land, 2 hectares each, with an average sand depth of 12 to 19 meters, for “personal farming.”
This is what Olena Kravchenko-Skalozub, the current head of the Oleshky District State Administration, said on social media: “According to the defendants in the case, this became possible due to the almost manual management of the district by Oleksiy Zhuravko, and the said plots were registered in his straw men’s names.”
At the same time, Tsyurupynsk Segodnya notes that, in addition to Yuzhnoukrainskyi Piskok LLC, three other private entities are currently particularly active in sand mining. One of them is Oleshky, a municipal enterprise created by a decision of the session. It is headed by the brother of a fugitive ex-MP and separatist, Heorhiy Zhuravko.

Getting back to the court decisions. It is important to note that at the beginning of the year, namely on January 16, 2018, Yuzhnoukrainskyi Pisok LLC filed a lawsuit with the Oleshky District Court to invalidate the aforementioned order of the DSA and state acts of ownership of the land plots.

Kherson Administrative Court may revoke the license of Zhuravka utility company
Today, the Kherson Administrative Court is to begin consideration of the claim of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine against the Oleshky utility company, which is run by the uncle of fugitive ex-MP Oleksiy Zhuravko, Heorhiy Zhuravko. Heorhii Zhuravko is the director of the Oleshky district utility company, which is supposed to extract sand. He is running as a self-nominated candidate.

Acting Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Yevhen Ryshchuk admitted that he had come to the head of the Oleshky District Council Mykola Raytarovsky and said that the dismissal of the director of the Oleshky Municipal Enterprise, Heorhiy Zhuravko, was illegal.
He told this to the website Yuzhnye Vesti.
“For example, I would not rush to release him. Because today we need to work for at least another year to launch this quarry,” he said.
Heorhiy Zhuravko is the uncle of fugitive separatist Oleksiy Zhuravko. The company he headed is engaged in sand mining. Yevhen Ryshchuk is associated with a company that is also preparing to enter this market.

The occupiers appointed Georgiy Zhuravko as the “mayor” of Oleshky. He is a relative of ex-MP and traitor Oleksiy Zhuravko, who has been hiding in Muscovy in recent years.
This was reported by the current mayor of Oleshky, Yevhen Ryshchuk, on his Facebook page.
He noted that Heorhiy Zhuravko had already been introduced to employees of the municipal enterprises as the new head of the city.
