You won’t find an objective detailed biography of Stremousov on the Internet — mostly praise or, conversely, critical characteristics. Official biographies say that he was born in Donetsk region and graduated from the Ternopil Academy of National Economy, has five children and calls himself an Orthodox Christian. In 2009, he founded the Tavria News news agency. Soon after, Stremousov was beaten allegedly for filming a traffic accident involving a private security car. (One could sympathize, but later on, Stremousov would find himself in situations with shooting and bodily harm too often — and not always as a victim).

The Fakty newspaper came to the rescue, writing about Stremousov’s adventurous trip to America. In an interview with the newspaper, the then not-so-odious resident of Kherson said the following about himself:

“For five years I had my own company selling fish food abroad. In those years, I visited almost all European countries on business trips. But I started having misunderstandings with the fisheries inspection. I didn’t want to give bribes, so I got a job in this structure myself. I quickly worked my way up to the head of the Genichesk fisheries inspection. I was faced with glaring facts of barbaric fishing in the Sea of Azov. I turned to a well-known TV journalist, Andriy Tsaplienko, and helped him prepare a story. For this, I was dismissed from the service. However, I was soon taken back by court order. In 2007, I was even given a senior position in the Kyiv Fisheries Committee.

Ukrainian hackers have gained access to the correspondence of pro-Russian Kherson activist Kirill Stremousov with an FSB officer and another collaborator, Viktor Yatsenko.

The text of the correspondence was posted by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on his Telegram channel:
“He said that cyber-intelligence officers had uncovered a separatist community on Vkontakte. They “leaked” the correspondence of pseudo-journalist Kirill Stremousov with Russian FSB officer Valery Solokha and Viktor Yatsenko.

According to the correspondence, Kirill Stremousov has been cooperating with the FSB for a long time. One of the main problems of the Russian secret service has become pro-Ukrainian rallies in the Kherson region, which they are trying to discredit with the help of the activist.

Kremlin agents are beginning to take the positions promised in case of victory in Ukraine’s governance. The odious “journalist” Kirill Stremousov is no exception.

The latter, in particular, asks: “Why did the Muscovites want to take you away from us?” All of this looks like staging and stands out from the general background of the videos posted on Stremousov’s YouTube channel.

Hromadske cannot reliably confirm the correspondence between Stremousov and the FSB published by the Information Resistance. However, Stremousov’s activities since the beginning of the Russian takeover of Kherson indicate his cooperation with the occupiers. He may indeed be involved in the persecution of Ukrainian activists in the city.

Pro-Russian activities, involvement in the murder of Handziuk

In 2013, he was the organizer of the pro-Russian “Thank You for the Victory” race, which was supposed to show the “strength of the Russian spirit.”

At the same time, he organized a “community” in Stara Zburyivka, where a dozen local poachers decided to give up their passports, not pay taxes, and not recognize the authorities. All this was “preached” by Stremousov and his Russian curators.

And on March 1, 2014, the whole pack went to Kherson to support the “Russian Spring”. However, after a preventive conversation with Euromaidan activists, they quickly turned around and left for Russia.

Stremousov was also mentioned by the lawyer of the deceased Kateryna Handziuk, Masi Nayem. He was one of those suspected of organizing the attack on Kateryna.

In 2020, the SBU exposed a network of Russian agents led by Tetiana Kuzmych, a former employee of the regional administration and head of the Rusych Russian National Community NGO. Kuzmych’s task was to collect information about military facilities and SBU employees. Stremousov was also a member of this organization, and the SBU also searched his place.

By the way, Kuzmych also participated in a pro-Russian rally in Kherson in March.

In Kherson, Kiva’s associate Stremousov beat a journalist

On Tuesday, June 23, 2021, Dmytro Bahnenko, an employee of the Kherson online newspaper Vverkh, was threatened on air by pro-Russian activist Kyrylo Stremousov. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union.

By the way, recently, one of the Kherson pharmacies filed a police complaint against Kuleshov and Stremousov, where they literally burst in with a group of other “activists” with unsubstantiated accusations of drug trafficking. At the same time, they threatened and used obscene language against pharmacists and even some elderly visitors who had just come in to buy medicine. The “activists” climbed through the shop window into the office space and attempted to conduct an unauthorized search, damaging the property of the institution. At the same time, neither the employees of the security company nor the police officers who arrived at the scene prevented them.

Their “interests” included not only drugstores, but also small “liquor stores”, retail outlets, and slot machine halls. Stremousov and Kuleshov are ruthless towards the lower-level employees — the sellers who stand behind the counter. They call them criminals who deceive people and destroy our youth. And they do this without providing any evidence.

Whether Stremousov and Kuleshov are of any use to society is a big question. But it is a fact that they satisfy their own interests: they can beat people, hurl obscenities and threats at anyone for the sake of private parking lots.

The police’s response has nothing to do with the publication’s request.

We can assume that this is some kind of misunderstanding, and the department simply did not understand what exactly we were demanding from them.

Stremousov is an active member of the notorious Kharkiv Poton movement.

A number of media outlets even call Poton members “pro-Russian racketeers”, referring to the military-patriotic organization “Freikor”.

It’s scary to even imagine what consequences such pseudo-activism and its alleged “protection” could have for our region and the people they allegedly “protect.”

In addition, although Stremousov positions himself as a journalist, his “activities” contradict the basic norms that media representatives must adhere to. In accordance with the principles of journalistic ethics.

Kirill Stremousov is a member of Poton:

And Stremousov not only speaks obscenely about his opponents, but also often uses physical force, often in a rude manner, making accusations without any concrete evidence.

Unfortunately, this problem is typical for the whole of Ukraine, because today anyone can pose as a journalist, “waving” a press card, insult, humiliate, swear foully, and even beat people. They do this under the guise of a high goal, the authority of the profession, and laws that protect the activities of representatives of the fourth estate.

In Kherson, a local collaborator threatens people with Russian imprisonment

In Kherson, local collaborator Kirill Stremousov threatens other residents with Russian imprisonment. We are talking about those who oppose the “Russian world”.

Ostap Stakhiv was served with a notice of suspicion on November 16 under Article 109 of the Criminal Code (actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power). As a reminder, the rape in Levandivka took place in June 2020. An 11-year-old boy went for a walk with his friends, and when he returned home, he told his parents that he had been raped by 18-year-old Myroslav Martyniuk. The alleged rapist was detained the same day and confessed to the crime. For almost a year now, Myroslav Martyniuk has been awaiting a court verdict in a Lviv pre-trial detention center without the right to be released on bail.
