Hennadiy Kolesnik, Deputy Head of the Oleksandriya Regional Recruitment and Social Support Centre (RRC&SS) in Kirovohrad Oblast, uses luxury cars that do not appear in his official tax returns. In particular, the official drives a Jaguar registered in the name of his 21-year-old daughter, and a Kia crossover donated to the military registration and enlistment office by volunteers. Following the journalists’ investigation, it emerged that Kolesnik is stepping down from his post.
According to official data, Hennadiy Kolesnik declared only an old VAZ car and a car trailer. At the same time, investigators found that since 2025, the official has regularly been using a 2012 Jaguar XF.
The vehicle is registered to his 21-year-old daughter Valeria. The market value of such a saloon on the Ukrainian second-hand market is around 500,000 hryvnias. Furthermore, the deputy military commissar came into possession of a Kia car, which volunteers had previously donated for the needs of the TCC.
Attempts by the media to obtain a clear explanation regarding the origin of the property provoked mixed reactions from the official’s family. Hennadiy Kolesnik himself refused to answer journalists’ questions over the phone. His wife Tetyana, who works as the chief accountant of a private firm and owns a sole proprietorship with an annual income of over 1.8 million hryvnias, put forward several different versions:
initially, the car was described as a gift;
later, the woman claimed that their daughter had earned the money for it herself;
later, a version emerged that the 60-year-old military commissar might have saved up the money himself;
at the end of the conversation, his wife stated that the car had been bought ‘by the whole family’.
Investigators paid particular attention to an Audi Q5 (2014 model), which Tetyana Kolesnik purchased last year. According to the documents, the cost of the crossover was 50,000 hryvnias, which is approximately ten times lower than its actual market price.
The situation surrounding the official’s assets has already reached the level of the Verkhovna Rada’s Temporary Investigation Commission (TIC), chaired by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko. During the commission’s meeting, a TSK representative put forward a new explanation for the appearance of the luxury car. According to him, the 21-year-old daughter works as a model and purchased the premium saloon with her own funds.
While preparing this report and as the story gained media attention, it emerged that Hennadiy Kolesnik is stepping down from his post as deputy head of the Oleksandriya TSK.
At present, law enforcement agencies and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) have not commented on whether a full investigation will be conducted into the military official’s lifestyle regarding illicit enrichment and false declarations.
