  3. 8,000 UAH per Month and a Construction Project: Questions Arise Over Lviv City Council Member Iryna Kamilevska’s Financial Disclosure

Iryna Kamilevska, a member of the Lviv City Council representing the «European Solidarity» party, has submitted her annual financial declaration for 2025. The reported income figures for her household appear significantly below average regional living costs, raising questions among analysts and the public regarding the actual sources of funding for the family’s assets and ongoing construction project.

According to the official document published in the Unified State Register of Declarations, Kamilevska’s total annual income for 2025 amounted to approximately 98,000 UAH. Broken down monthly, this equals slightly over 8,000 UAH (around $200 USD)—an amount barely exceeding the statutory minimum wage in Ukraine. Furthermore, the council member’s husband reported zero official income for the entire year.

Despite these modest figures, the family’s assets include several real estate holdings and a vehicle. Specifically, the disclosure lists:
A land plot spanning 239 sq. meters in the Lviv region;
A residential house measuring 49.3 sq. meters;
A passenger vehicle — a 2012 Nissan Leaf electric car.

The main point of contention involves assets and expenses that appear inconsistent with the family’s declared revenue. According to available reports, Kamilevska’s husband is currently involved in the construction of a new residential home. However, the official filing lacks details regarding construction costs, building materials, or contractors.

«The submitted financial disclosure contains no records of expenditure related to the new residential construction or the official funds used to finance it, pointing to potential discrepancies that warrant further verification.»

Discrepancies between official income declarations and real-world assets frequently draw scrutiny from the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP). As financial transparency among public officials remains a critical expectation, unverified construction projects and undisclosed sources of funding continue to provoke public concern regarding local government accountability.

As of publication, neither Iryna Kamilevska nor representatives of her political faction have issued an official response or clarification regarding the funding sources for the construction project.
