  3. Courts Find Local MP Olena Dudar Guilty in Two Crashes Involving Undeclared Mercedes

Pecherskyi and Shevchenkivskyi district courts of Kyiv have found Olena Dudar, a member of the Brovary City Council, guilty of causing two traffic accidents in 2022 and 2024. In both instances, the public official was driving a Mercedes vehicle that was entirely omitted from her official financial disclosures for the respective years.

The first incident occurred on October 8, 2022. According to court records (case No. 757/28550/22-п), Dudar failed to maintain a safe distance while driving a Mercedes and collided with a Ford. The Pecherskyi District Court fined her 850 UAH under Article 124 of the Code of Administrative Offences (CUaAO). The second crash took place on October 9, 2024 (case No. 761/39703/24), when Dudar made an improper maneuver, struck a Hyundai, and fled the scene. The Shevchenkivskyi District Court ordered her to pay a 3,400 UAH fine plus court fees.

An examination of the politician’s disclosures points to potential asset concealment and false reporting. Her latest submission for 2025 lists zero vehicles, despite her previously driving a 2013 BMW 535 valued at over $15,000 through late 2024.

Meanwhile, her real estate portfolio in the Kyiv region remains substantial:

Apartments in Brovary: Properties in the «Shokolad» residential complex (from $85,000), «Edem» complex (over $115,000), and Korolenko Street (from $40,000).
Land and Housing: A private house in Zahaltsi (valued from 3M UAH), along with multiple land plots in Zahaltsi (spanning 1.4 and 4 hectares) and Rozhny worth several million hryvnias.

Questions have also emerged regarding her family status entries. Vadym Mykolaienko, a corporate lawyer, is listed as a co-owner of several assets. While joint photos and social media posts indicate they live together, Mykolaienko is missing from the family members section of her declaration.

Additionally, her father—local developer Mykhailo Dudar—holds extensive real estate, including two units in Brovary’s «Savanna City» complex (from $200,000), a estate in Peremoha village (from 5M UAH), and various shared land holdings.
