Serhiy Huz, head of the Territorial Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 5346 in the Poltava region (Butenky), has officially registered high-value assets worth over 2.1 million UAH under his name. The legal transfer occurred shortly after the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) uncovered reporting discrepancies totaling nearly 4 million UAH in his previous financial disclosures.
According to official asset declarations and recent updates on material changes in property status, Huz acquired title to a spacious apartment and a luxury SUV in May and June 2026:
Apartment in Poltava: On May 29, 2026, the official received a 102.2 sq. m apartment valued at 1.43 million UAH as a non-monetary gift from his mother.
Toyota Sequoia (2014): On June 6, 2026, his sister transferred full ownership of a 720,000 UAH SUV to him—a vehicle he previously operated under a power of attorney.
In his 2025 financial submission, the official also listed a 1,000 sq. m land plot in Poltava, a vintage VAZ 2103, and right-of-use access to his mother’s residence in Dikanka.
The updated declaration lists only his daughter, Sofia, who attends Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and resides in a local dormitory. Information regarding his common-law wife, who appeared in earlier disclosures, has been omitted.
The service center head reported modest official income for 2025:
Salary: 163,000 UAH from the Regional Service Center of the Main Service Center of the MIA;
Pension payments: 179,000 UAH.
By submitting these amended reports, Serhiy Huz has formally secured ownership of assets that anti-corruption authorities previously flagged as unrecorded. Representatives of the regional MIA service center have not yet issued an official comment regarding the asset registration.
