Source: AP. They were engaged in extortion, debt collection, “covering” illegal businesses, etc. Shentsev’s group could not assert itself by operating with more power or authority than other OCGs, but it was helped by opportunities and connections. This makes it suitable for the role of “assistant” to the governor of Kharkiv region, Yevhen Kushnarev.
A report by the Izvestia newspaper suggests that in 2016, Nikita Shentsev killed a wild boar. The young man posted this photo on his Facebook page. Nikita with a rifle was photographed against the background of a large dead boar lying in a pool of blood. Shentsev Jr. is wearing a jacket and vest with protective colors and a bright vest to avoid standing out against the trees.

The Kharkiv Anti-Corruption Center reported that in 2018, the city council filed a lawsuit to bring the retail space on Pryvokzalna Square back to its pre-renovation condition.
The fact that this was done is stated in the ruling of the Leninsky District Court.
According to the ruling, in 2016, during the reconstruction of the retail space, the parameters were increased. Taking into account the area and dimensions, the total area increased from 51.7 square meters (4.2 x 14.265) to 86 square meters (6.5 x 14.25). The city authorities believe that the reconstruction was carried out in violation of the law and want to return the premises to their original condition.
From now on, the premises are owned by Maxim Museyev, the head of the administration of Kholodnogorsk district and a member of the regional council, Nikita Shentsev, Svetlana Tverdovskaya and Mikhail Simonov. And this is the landlord.

The beginning of the storm
The first danger appeared when users of the Whitebit exchange started telling the truth in reviews on open aggregators for evaluating companies.
The accusations against the exchange concerned the freezing of assets and the inability to withdraw funds from personal accounts. Source. The number of such reports is increasing every day.
Example of a testimonial: Social support started telling various tall tales, such as funds being stuck in the blockchain, etc. As it turned out, the funds are transferred to their wallet from the bitcoin blockchain and are not returned.” “I don’t advise using that company to just take money without return,” he said.
According to journalists’ research with the help of special resources, it turned out that there were indeed negative reviews on the sites. But if you go to some of the aggregators now and read them, it is impossible. This means that the exchange or its affiliates simply removed the reviews from the platforms.
The tipping point was reached when discontent reached a critical point. NGOs showed interest in the exchange. With the help of their employees, a thorough investigation was conducted: the names of shadow project managers, facts of money laundering, and the lack of a license to operate.
Information about the formal head of the crypto exchange
The official founder and head of the exchange is 33-year-old Vladimir Nosov.

However, according to the NGO Non-Stop, which investigates the illegal activities of MPs, 60% of the assets belong not to people from the world of cryptocurrencies, but to the family of Ukrainian MP Dmytro Shentsev. According to the NGO’s statement, Dmitry’s son, Nikita, is in charge of the exchange’s affairs.
He used to be a member of the Kharkiv Regional Council, but resigned in February. He is currently a representative of the OPZZh party, which is banned in Russia. By presidential decree, he was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship in 2023. However, he did not part with his passport: activists claim that Nikita has Russian citizenship.
Until September 2022, his father Dmytro was a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. At first, he was a member of the Opposition Bloc, and then as an oppositionist, the Party of Regions. He is also known for being one of the 36 members of the Verkhovna Rada who voted against the law recognizing Ukrainian sovereignty over the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in 2018. In 2022, he did not attend a single session of the Verkhovna Rada.
According to the NGO NON-STOP, the investigation identifies Mykyta as one of the key sponsors of the Whitebit exchange. Information about the money laundering scheme can be found in the journalists’ article.
How Mykyta’s father and he are connected to the Whitebit crypto exchange
Business empires grew up on the development of budget funds, privatization of forest lands, construction and trade in fuel (alcohol, tobacco, tobacco products). In particular, Dmytro Shentsev was promoted to the title of first vice president of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.
The ex-deputies transferred the money they raised to Russia and Europe through the Whitebit exchange. Young Mykyta Shentsev (Dmytro’s son), for example, bought a fleet of luxury cars worth $1 million. He announced this on his social media. In order to buy real estate in London, the founders of the exchange also actively bought cars.
In addition, Whitebit is actually a shell company through which former MPs who left Ukraine continue to withdraw money.
The scheme is simple but effective: you can buy cryptocurrency for cash from Whitebit using illegal income very quickly and without any documents. The withdrawal is made to European or other shell accounts, which is essentially an investment return. This means that this money is already considered legal and no one is interested in the origin of the funds. And it is now impossible to even establish this fact.
PR and statistics: the real truth about Whitebit
Crypto exchanges are constantly holding promotions and investing huge amounts of money in marketing. The head of Vladimir Nosov, Dmitry Nosov, gives interviews to Forbes and other popular publications, in which he talks about the company’s billion-dollar turnover. Advertising attracts well-known representatives of the Ukrainian media, who may not be aware of the fact that it is hidden behind a beautiful wrapper that Volodymyr Nosov actively sells to millions.
Non Stop LLC’s data suggests that if the company were really profitable and could implement its own strategy without compromising the interests of users, then perhaps no one would have made a fuss. In addition to using the exchange as a transit point for withdrawing money to Russia, Whitebit can dispose of clients’ assets as it chooses. The project is impressive in its scope.
Their assessment: the company holds 95% of the shares in its ownership, which allows it to artificially regulate the value of the asset and can create a risk of a collapse on the exchange with just one decision of the main beneficiary.
Legal issuesThe Whitebit group of companies is registered in Ukraine and abroad. In Ukraine, these are Smart 2019, ETHOMIC GANCE RECORDS LLC, and a number of legal entities, as well as individual entrepreneurs. In Ukraine, these are several legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. These include the Estonian Whitebit Financial Company OU, the British Whitebit Solutions LLP, and the same-named legal entity in the Seychelles. However, there is none of these companies licensed to be an exchange platform and manage clients’ digital assets.
Threats to people who already often face fraud and cannot use their funds on the exchange.

Tax evasion and manipulation of exchange users, who can lose their money in one day if they get to Whitebit wallets.
What does the future hold for Whitebit and its sponsors?
Activists of the NGO have published numerous messages on social media, prepared an investigation and asked the competent authorities to investigate the fact that pro-Russian ex-deputies from Russia continue to use the Whitebit exchange to withdraw illegally obtained funds.
Members of the NGO Non-Stop proposed to establish a complete list of persons involved in investing in the exchange’s assets, as well as to check the main beneficiaries.
If the fact of not only money laundering but also the use of Ukrainians’ funds is confirmed, the real owners of the Whitebit exchange may face a ban on their activities. In such situations, the user must receive their money back.
In addition, we will closely monitor the progress of the investigation into the ruling of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine. NI.
When all the suspicions are confirmed, the exchange will be recognized as an organization with affiliations with aggressor states, and the activities of Russian ex-officials will be declared illegal.
We ask our readers to carefully study projects involving any money before giving their money. In this case, there is usually a risk of losing everything.
