Dubinsky Alexander Anatolyevich (Pinocchio)
Official biography.
Ukrainian pro-Russian journalist, politician, blogger, former host of the “Money” program on 1+1 TV channel. Member of the Parliament of the IX convocation from the 94th constituency from the Servant of the People party (member of the party until February 01, 2021). Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy. Many political observers consider him to be a representative of oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky’s influence group. Member of the competition commission for the selection of independent members of supervisory boards of state-owned banks.
In a poor country where oligarchs rule the roost, this is inevitable, and that is why Oleksandr Dubinsky, an unprincipled scoundrel, fraudster, liar and pest, is now solving his own personal issues and the problems of the owners who bought him in the Rada.

- Servant of the People
In his youth.
He grew up in a poor Jewish family. Like all obedient Jewish boys, he studied at a music school for five years. He graduated from high school #187.
He has three degrees, two higher and a secondary specialty:
— Irpin State College of Economics and Law of the National University of the State Tax Service;
— National University of Food Technologies, specializing in accounting, finance and audit;
— Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Instrumentation, specializing in electrical engineering.
Oleksandr’s career began in the early 2000s at the capital’s radio market at Karavayev Dachas, where he was a young man selling phones and other electronic devices under the patronage of his friend’s brother. Evil tongues say that he did not refuse to sell stolen gadgets either, but he was never caught, and there are no facts of claims of law enforcement agencies against the future journalist in this regard.
Family.
- His father, Anatoliy Dubinsky, divorced Oleksandr’s mother and now lives in Donetsk. He is known for his pro-Russian stance, supports Putin’s policies and Novorossiya, and has called Ukrainians “American assholes.”
- His mother is Alla Oleksandrivna Berezovska, who lives in Kyiv. She owns real estate and a car fleet worth millions of hryvnias.
- His ex-wife is a PR manager, Lesia Yevhenivna Tsybko, who worked for the NGO Financial Development League. The divorce was finalized only in 2020, most likely fictitiously, to conceal the huge property. Since the couple has no children, they raised a Yorkshire terrier named Dixie.
- His common-law wife, Olena Dekert, is related to another scandalous MP from the Servant of the People faction, Maksym Buzhansky, known for his anti-Ukrainian stance and his ties to oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, with whom Dubinsky also collaborated. Olena Dekert was the MP’s first assistant as of October 2020. Like Oleksandr Dubinskyi, Dekkert worked for the 1+1 TV channel. Dubinsky and Dekert are currently expecting a child.
Journalistic career
- In 2004-2009, he worked for the newspaper “Economic News” (Ukrainian: Экономические известия), where he became known as an economic journalist.
- From May 2009 to May 2010, he worked as the editor-in-chief of Weekly.ua magazine.
- Since 2009, he has been blogging on the Ukrainska Pravda website. From a certain point on, the editors of the publication began to warn that the journalist was biased. «Beware! The editors suspect that this author is fulfilling certain tasks with his posts. Keep this in mind when reading,” the caption reads. The last blog was published in mid-2015].
- In 2010, he became a creative producer of the investigative journalism department of 1+1 TV channel. In 2014, he became the host of the program “Money”. In 2012, under the leadership of Oleksandr Dubinsky, the 1+1 TV channel began broadcasting the program “Ukrainian Sensations”. According to the “Servant of the People” party, he is a creative producer of the “Ukrainian Sensations” and “Secret Materials” programs on 1+1.
- In April 2017, he launched his personal blog site Dubinsky.Pro. Since May 2017, he has been running a video blog on YouTube.
- Since the fall of 2019, he has been running his own blog #Dubinskyproauto on his YouTube channel, where he shows video reviews of cars.
- On January 15, 2021, after sanctions were imposed on him by the US Treasury Department, his website Dubinsky.Pro, which was registered by the American company GoDaddy, stopped working.
- On January 28, 2021, the video hosting service YouTube blocked Oleksandr Dubinsky’s YouTube channel, where he published his videos.
Political career
In the 2019 snap elections to the Verkhovna Rada, he ran as a majoritarian in the 94th constituency in Kyiv region (the cities of Vasylkiv and Obukhiv, Vasylkiv and Obukhiv districts) from the Servant of the People party, but at that time was non-partisan. The candidate was the first to be opposed by the Otsech movement during the election campaign as part of the Red Lines campaign. He won the election and became a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 9th convocation.
He is a former member of the ruling Servant of the People party and head of the Kyiv regional organization.
He distinguished himself during his time in the Verkhovna Rada:
- In January 2020, members of the Dnipro trade union, who are supported by Dubinsky, filed 20 lawsuits in cases against the state-owned PrivatBank in order to change the bank’s management and close the lawsuits initiated against Kolomoisky.
- In April 2020, Dubinsky made 1199 amendments to the “anti-Kolomoisky law” adopted in the first reading.
- Also in April 2020, Dubinsky authored about a thousand amendments to the draft law on combating “legislative spam”.
- In May 2020, he initiated a petition to the Constitutional Court to declare the appointment of NABU Director Artem Sytnyk unconstitutional.
- On September 11, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy delegated Dubinsky to the competition commission for the selection of independent members of the supervisory boards of state-owned banks.
- On February 1, 2021, Dubinsky was expelled from the Servant of the People faction due to US sanctions, and Zelenskyy twice offered him to leave, but he refused.
- On March 14, 2021, Dubinsky was dismissed as head of the Kyiv regional organization of the Servant of the People party, and his position was taken over by Andriy Motovylovets.
- On March 15, MP Dubinsky was expelled from the ruling Servant of the People party for “violating the charter and disobeying the party’s governing bodies.”
- In mid-July 2021, Dubinsky registered a resolution to dismiss the director of Ukrposhta.
Kompromat
The beginning of his service to Kolomoisky
The year 2010 was crucial for Dubinsky. That year, he started working for the media holding of Ihor Kolomoisky, who still controls his cadre of well-fed politicians and journalists from Geneva. And then, in 2010, the well-known journalist who covers economic and banking issues became a creative producer of the investigative journalism department at 1+1. And from that time on, his gradual transformation into a cynical scoundrel, ready to prepare any false material for money, began.
In 2012, under the leadership of Oleksandr Dubinsky, 1+1 TV channel started broadcasting the program “Ukrainian Sensations”.
In 2014, he began hosting the program “Money”. He replaced Jean Novoseltsev, who compromised Kolomoisky with his anti-Maidan and pro-Russian stance. The program became one of the highest-rated, repeatedly winning the Teletriumph award.
However, Dubinsky considered his main task not to be receiving various awards, but to fight against the opponents of his odious boss. When President Poroshenko’s team began a serious confrontation with Kolomoisky, the main “truth-teller” with all his programs began a “campaign” against the authorities. The president, Prime Minister Groysman, Saakashvili, Suprun, and Kononenko all got hit — the president, Prime Minister Groysman, and Kononenko. The angry whistleblower did not choose his words and did not worry about the truthfulness of his statements, because people love loud sensations and sharp words against those in power.
Since May 2017, Oleksandr Dubinsky has also started a video blog on YouTube. Kolomoisky appreciated the zeal of his faithful bull terrier. In the same year, Dubinsky became a minority co-owner of the 1+1 TV channel with a 0.1% stake.
Until 2019, all of our hero’s political activities were limited to work commissioned by certain political forces. And he didn’t start with serving Ihor Valeriyovych. Even before 2014, Dubinsky fulfilled various orders from representatives of the Party of Regions, though he tried not to advertise himself. And after 2014, he publicly stated for several years that he had no political ambitions and was not interested in this field of activity at all.
The pro-Russian counter and “prostitutes” on the Maidan
Bihus.info’s investigations have shown that Dubinsky probably took part in a paid campaign to discredit the Revolution of Dignity back in 2013-2014, which was overseen by the then-managers of the well-known pro-Russian, but now “repainted” Vesti newspaper. One of the most striking examples is the story of the “prostitutes on the Maidan”.
The investigation refers to Dubinsky’s correspondence with Olga Semchenko, the head of the Izvestia holding company. At the time, Dubinsky allegedly put forward proposals for the “Minority Maidan” information campaign, which included a plan of 20 events to discredit the Maidan. This included information injections, fake videos, and “investigations” about Maidan and its leaders at the time.
One of these fakes was the “prostitutes on Maidan” — a fake that Dubinsky was supposed to have organized. The total cost of the entire plan was about $500,000, plus about $100,000 for unforeseen expenses.
Dubinsky’s pro-Russian stance convinces us of the veracity of this investigation.
We don’t have to look far for examples. At one point, he did not even sign an appeal to the Speaker of the Rada demanding that initiatives to disqualify MPs elected from banned pro-Russian parties be put on the agenda.
And this is not to mention his constant defense of the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine (the so-called UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate), and his regular statements about the “external governance” of Ukraine. As for the “prostitute on the square” and the aforementioned plan, Dubinsky, of course, denies all accusations.
Dubinsky has never hidden his hatred for the Maidan. As an MP, he and the OPFL signed a petition to the Constitutional Court to lift the ban on the prosecution of Maidan participants in 2014 and to protect law enforcement officers who shot and beat protesters. Later, the scumbag said that the “Glory to Ukraine” address was a Nazi salute and opposed its introduction in the Armed Forces.
Scandalous work in the Verkhovna Rada
Since the beginning of 2019, Dubinsky’s attitude to political activity has been gradually changing. Initially, he actively supported Volodymyr Zelenskyi in the presidential election, as they both came from the Kolomoisky nest. However, he rejected the offer to join the Servant of the People list, saying that party discipline was not for him.
When discussing the candidates for majoritarian seats to be supported by Zelensky’s party, Dubinsky expressed a desire to run in the same constituency as Ihor Kononenko, defeat him and minimize the European Solidarity faction in the new parliament.
Dubinsky won in constituency 94 (Kyiv region, which includes the cities of Vasylkiv, Obukhiv and parts of the respective districts), not formally being a member of the pro-presidential Servant of the People party, but with its support and under its symbols. In addition to Ihor Kononenko, his competitors in the constituency were a former colleague from “1+1” Jean Novoseltsev, as well as two people with the same name. To ensure Dubinsky’s victory over Kononenko, the odious radical MP of the VIII convocation, Ihor Mosiychuk, withdrew his candidacy in his favor, having publicly supported him during the election campaign.
In November 2019, at the congress of the Servant of the People political party, Oleksandr became a member of the party. Soon after, he was given an assignment — he became the head of the Kyiv regional party organization and was obliged to properly prepare it for the local elections.
In September 2020, Dubinsky was sent by his committee to the competition commission for the selection of independent members of the supervisory boards of state-owned banks (Oschadbank, Ukreximbank, Ukrgasbank, PrivatBank, and the Ukrainian Bank for Reconstruction and Development).
However, in 2021, Dubinsky went through a black patch. He was fired from his position as head of the Kyiv regional party organization and expelled from the party altogether. In January of the same year, he was sanctioned by the US Treasury Department. But more about Dubinsky’s troubles in the next section.
Mom loves speed
It’s ironic that before starting his political career, Dubinsky positioned himself as an investigative journalist for 1+1 TV channel. However, in 2019, he himself became a subject of an investigation by Bihus.info journalists, who found out that Dubinsky and his family had amassed a huge fortune in a few years: 24 apartments, 17 cars, two houses and 70 acres of land totaling about $2.5 million.

At the same time, Dubinsky, being a deputy, did not want to include all this in his declaration, as required by the CEC, because, as a successful journalist, he had been earning well even before his deputy position. Investigators have repeatedly spotted Dubinsky driving a car worth about $50,000. Dubinsky explained that his mother gives him the car to drive around.
After the scandal, Dubinsky did not even make excuses, but, on the contrary, began to walk around the Verkhovna Rada in a T-shirt: «Mom loves speed».

Criminal cases of MP Dubinsky
Dubinskyi is under US sanctions for his cooperation with criminal Andrii Derkach, and the State Bureau of Investigation is investigating his Romanian passport. In 2019, the NABU opened proceedings on suspicion of bribery.
Bloggers and the military accuse MP Dubinsky of raiding and embezzling budget funds. An enterprise headed by a person controlled by Dubinsky announced a tender for the purchase of detergents for almost half a million hryvnias, and the tender was won by a company headed by a music teacher.
On August 9, based on SBI materials, Dubinsky was notified of suspicion of forgery in office. According to the investigation, the MP left Ukraine under the guise of accompanying his father for treatment in a foreign medical facility.
At the same time, the MP’s father traveled abroad and returned from there on his own — without the actual accompaniment of the parliamentarian.
In addition, law enforcement officers are investigating the fact that the MP signed official documents while he was outside Ukraine, which may indicate that they were forged.
In November 2023, the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine conducted searches on the fact of illegal transportation of a citizen abroad, which may involve MP Oleksandr Dubinskyi. According to the investigation, Dubinskyi, in collusion with others, organized the illegal departure abroad of his common-law wife’s brother.
The man, on Dubinsky’s instructions, was to arrive in Chisinau, where he was to wait for further instructions to drive the MP’s personal luxury car from the parking lot of the Chisinau International Airport to Vienna.
The SBU and the State Bureau of Investigation also searched the homes of Dubinsky’s accomplices, as they suspect that not only the brother of the MP’s wife used the scheme to travel abroad.
Earlier, another criminal case was opened against Dubinsky for forging documents for traveling abroad. At that time, Dubinsky allegedly took his disabled father for treatment, but in reality he was vacationing in European resorts with Deckert. later, Deckert posted a video on social media confirming these guesses.
On November 13, Dubinsky was suspected of treason. Dubinsky had the call sign “Pinocchio” and was a member of a criminal organization formed by the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (known as the GRU). The main task of this organization is to undermine the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discredit the state in the international arena. For this, the group members received money from Russia’s military intelligence.
The criminal organization was created by the deputy head of the Russian game Vladimir Alekseev as an agent network operating in the capital of Ukraine.
His deputy, Aleksey Savin, was in charge of the operational management of the enemy group from the territory of Russia.
According to available data, the network’s funding reached more than 10 million US dollars.
Dubinsky spread fake news about the Ukrainian leadership, in particular, by publishing “Derkach tapes” about Kyiv’s influence on the 2019 US presidential election.
Derkach himself is also called a member of this “agent network,” for which Russia, according to the SBU, allocated more than $10 million, and which was headed by the deputy head of the GRU, Oleksiy Savin. The same group, according to the investigation, included former prosecutor Konstantin Kulik. He had the call sign “Birdie”.
In Ukraine, this network, according to the SBU, was supervised by Derkach’s former assistant and former Soviet-era GRU officer Igor Kolesnikov, who has already been convicted and is serving a sentence for treason.
On the night of November 13-14, Dubinsky was arrested in this case for 60 days.
Dubinsky did not like the invitation to the military commissariat
Oleksandr Dubinsky was invited to the military registration and enlistment office on October 6, 2023, to clarify his military registration data. He did not like this, so he hinted at persecution by the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.
Dubinsky reported this on his telegram channel.
“Just yesterday, I recorded a video in which I offered Yermak, who fell in love with the military uniform, to show by his example how the liberation of the territories of Ukraine to the borders of 1991 should take place — and today, at 8:15 am, employees of the Podilsky TCC were already waiting for me at the DBR with a summons to clarify personal data,” Dubinsky said.
In the video, Dubinsky said that he had come to the SBI on behalf of the investigator to receive a motion to extend the preventive measure. This is the case of the MP on suspicion of official forgery of documents for traveling abroad. According to the politician, an employee of the TCC and JV was already waiting for him outside the bureau.
Dubinsky asked the representative of the military registration and enlistment office how he knew that the MP would be in this place at this time. The TCC employee replied that the law enforcement agencies had been informed about this after being contacted by the recruitment center.
“We sent an alert to your address. You did not show up. We turned to law enforcement and were told that you would be here today,” said the representative of the military commissariat.
He also said that he wanted to hand Dubinsky an invitation to the Podil District Military Commissariat for October 6 to clarify his military registration data. Initially, the MP refused to sign, but agreed to take a tear-off ticket. Then the politician refused to accept the summons.
