Volodymyr is considered one of the most desirable bachelors in Ukraine, so the public is very interested in his personal life. Compromising material
On September 19, Volodymyr Parasyuk announced his intention to run in the early parliamentary elections, as a self-nominated candidate in a majority constituency. On September 24, the CEC registered him in constituency 122, located in Lviv region.

Mysterious captivity
On August 31, 2014, Volodymyr Parasyuk was wounded by shrapnel while leaving the encirclement near Ilovaisk and taken prisoner.
On September 1, 2015, he was returned from captivity by armed supporters of the self-proclaimed DPR. According to the deputy head of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional State Administration, Borys Filatov, he had previously been taken to Russia for interrogation by the GRU.

The first fight in the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation
On December 4, 2014, Volodymyr Parasyuk caused the first fight in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VIII convocation. The beating of MP Maksym Kuryachyi

“Appropriation” of a jeep
On September 23, 2015, Volodymyr Parasyuk arrived at the rally dedicated to the food blockade of Crimea in an armored Ford jeep that had been delivered to Ukraine from Canada for soldiers who participated in the military operation in the east of the country. A fight with the head of the Luhansk regional police department
On September 26, 2015, after an offsite meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Preventing and Combating Corruption, Parasyuk had a fight with the head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Luhansk Oblast, Anatoliy Naumenko. Before the incident, Parasyuk said that corruption in Luhansk region could be stopped only after the people who “covered up” crimes in the region were fired. Naumenko replied that MPs have been unable to pass a law on the detention of “separatists” for eight months. The MP also demanded Naumenko’s dismissal, and a fight ensued. Attack on prosecutor Oleksandr Holynchenko
On November 4, 2015, he took part in a fight in the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv at a hearing to decide on the arrest of Hennadiy Korban, attacking prosecutor Oleksandr Holynchenko[45]. The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine opened criminal cases against Parasyuk for fighting with the prosecutor and interfering with the work of the court. Beating of an SBU investigator in the case of illegal deforestation
On November 12, 2015, Volodymyr Parasyuk received two summonses in criminal cases at once. The first one was related to the prosecutor’s fight with Oleksandr Holynchenko, and the second one was related to the story in Lviv region when Parasyuk beat and threatened to shoot an SBU officer who came to check reports of illegal logging in Zhovkva forestry. According to a number of Ukrainian media outlets, this was evidence that Parasyuk was “covering up” illegal deforestation in the region. According to the MP himself, the man he met on the spot did not introduce himself and was taken to the Lviv SBU office:
“When I got there, I saw that the man was inadequate. He didn’t even introduce himself, or who he was: whether he was a representative of the SBU, or what he was doing there. We took him to the Lviv SBU office. I took him to General Andreychuk’s office. General Andreychuk gave his word as an officer that he would be punished… But it happened differently: they spun the case and brought it here to Kyiv. And now they are accusing someone of kidnapping someone there.
A kick to the head of Vasyl Pisnyi
On November 19, 2015, during a meeting of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Volodymyr Parasyuk kicked Vasyl Pisnyi, Deputy Head of the SBU Main Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime (former Head of the Department of the Civil Service for Combating Economic Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs), in the head[49]. On the same day, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine opened an investigation into the fact that Parasyuk had inflicted bodily harm on the deputy head of the SBU’s Main Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime, Vasyl Pisnyi, in the performance of his duties (part 2 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). On November 26, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine interrogated MP Volodymyr Parasyuk as a witness.
Violation of traffic rules
On January 20, 2016, officers of the Lviv Patrol Police fined Volodymyr Parasyuk UAH 425 for violating traffic rules. On May 27, 2017, social media users were outraged by a photo posted by Parasyuk on VKontakte that showed a gross violation of traffic rules: the MP was holding a “selfie stick” with one hand while driving and steering the car with the other.
Throwing a glass at judges
On January 22, 2016, when the judges of the Zakarpattia Regional Court of Appeal were announcing their decision to arrest Petro Uhryn, a member of the Right Sector Ukrainian Volunteer Corps suspected of a conflict with the security guards of the Magnat House hotel in Zakarpattia region, Volodymyr Parasyuk threw a glass of water at the judges. The Uzhhorod Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case over this incident under Part 3 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism).
Desecration of the flag
On March 9, 2016, he tried to break into the territory of the Russian Consulate General in Lviv. After failing, he climbed over the fence, tore the Russian flag off the flagpole, threw it on the ground and trampled on it, after which the flag was burned.

Attack on MP Oleksandr Vilkul
On September 22, 2016, he fought with a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Bloc Oleksandr Vilkul, after which he damaged the latter’s car. The fight between Parasyuk and Vilkul took place after the broadcast of “Evening Prime” in the building of the “112 Ukraine” TV channel. After the broadcast, Parasyuk waited for his opponent under the studio and attacked Vilkul from behind, striking him in the head. During the ensuing fight, Parasyuk received several punches in the face from Vilkul. The fighting MPs were separated by security guards. Later, Parasyuk damaged Vilkul’s car, which was in the TV channel’s parking lot, and started a verbal altercation with the car’s driver. Parasyuk kicked the car several times and scratched “VLC PNH” on the hood. On September 23, the head of the National Police of Ukraine, Khatia Dekanoidze, said that a case had been opened under Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over the fight between MPs Volodymyr Parasyuk and Oleksandr Vilkul.
Conflict with journalist Dzyndzeya
On February 25, 2017, journalist and assistant to MP Tetyana Chornovol Andriy Dzyndzya reported that an armed Volodymyr Parasyuk “broke into his room” with a Kalashnikov rifle. When the National Police of Ukraine arrived, the quarrel was stopped. According to police, Parasyuk was carrying a Fort-17 award pistol and a hunting rifle. The reason for the quarrel was materials about the blockade of railroad tracks in Donbas. Dzindzya posted a video of the incident, in which the MP accuses the journalist of being a “liar” and “setting up the guys” with his materials about smuggling through the railroad.
The conflict continued in early March. After Tetyana Chornovol was pelted with eggs for trying to explain to the participants in the blockade of Donbas the harm caused by their actions, Dzindzya hit one of the participants in the security operation in eastern Ukraine with his car. After that, Parasyuk beat and restrained the journalist in the presence of police officers, as Dzindzya himself wrote on his Facebook page.
Attack on police officers at a checkpoint in Sloviansk
On March 14, 2017, Volodymyr Parasyuk, together with a group of armed men (participants in the blockade of Donbas), tried to pass a checkpoint near Sloviansk. The members of the convoy refused to undergo a standard check and did not show documents for their weapons.

On October 17, 2017, during the mass demonstrations of Mikheil Saakashvili’s supporters near the Verkhovna Rada, Parasyuk kicked former Ukrainian Defense Minister and Head of the State Protection Department Valeriy Heletey, accusing him of heavy losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the battle for Ilovaisk in 2014.
“The essence of the problem is that MP Parasyuk, his approach, his accusations and everything that happened happened because of the inadequate behavior of this person. I wanted to hear from him those complaints not about the camera, but to explain what claims he had against me, because he brought a person who was filming with him, that was the plan,” Heletey said.
In addition, Geletey said that he had not filed a statement with law enforcement agencies about the situation with Parasyuk.
“In any case, I have not filed any statement. I’m not saying that there are any bodily injuries or torn clothes, there was an unpleasant incident. There were no blows, there was one push and his verbal abuse,” he explained.
For his part, Parasyuk said on Channel 24 that he did not get personal in the conversation with Geletey and did not touch him first.
“What happened to Geletey is my personal position. I did not touch him first. And believe me, I did not get personal. Mr. Geletey insulted me, he was rude to me. So I responded to him. First of all, I addressed him as “you” and he addressed me as “you”. I didn’t even really know him. Because of this man, hundreds of volunteers died in the Ilovaysk cauldron. I treat him with contempt. People like him should be in prison,” he said.
Scandals, part 2
The grenade explosion, which caused Parasyuk “severe stress,” occurred in the yard of a house at 9 B Lesi Ukrainky Boulevard.

Sotnyk called his opponent’s question hysterical and refused to answer, saying that he had no evidence of a bribery attempt, and any statement not supported by facts could be considered slander. During the debate, Parasyuk avoided answering who offered him $2 million. On social media, many criticize the way Parasyuk communicated with his rivals in the district (Rava-Ruska Mayor Iryna Vereshchuk and political scientist Taras Vozniak), accusing the centurion of rudeness and arrogance during the debate. To hold any public office, he still needs to gain some sense. That’s the first thing. Parasyuk refused to hand over his weapons at the entrance to the Rada

I asked: to what extent do I have to take off my clothes for you to be satisfied? They replied that I had to go into the room. So I realized that they were after my underwear,” the MP complained.
This was not the only case. After the State Security Department installed equipment to inspect the personal belongings of MPs and visitors to the Verkhovna Rada, MP Semen Semenchenko said he was not allowed to enter the parliament building after a detector went off and beeped. The MP said that he was being illegally prevented from entering the parliament. He claimed that he was not carrying any metal objects.

The ink had barely dried on the new law adopted by MPs on Tuesday, March 20, on the procedure for access to parliament, which legalizes MPs’ passage through metal detectors, when Volodymyr Parasyuk created a scandal. The MP agreed to go through the metal detector, but it kept beeping. Therefore, Parasyuk was asked to go to a separate room for a more detailed inspection. At this point, Parasyuk’s patience broke down and he demanded to change the law that violated his powers as an MP and broke through the law enforcement officers to the Verkhovna Rada.
Empty promises
In April 2015, the Verkhovna Rada passed the draft law “On Amber Extraction and Sale” in the first reading, and Parasyuk promised to amend it. “Of course, the law No. 1351-1 on amber mining, which will soon be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for voting, will not solve all the problems at once. It is not perfect, and I will submit amendments to it, but this law will allow us to remove the mafia that has taken root here and is abusing people,” he said. But in more than six months, the MP has not registered any initiatives to amend the law.
Two years ago, Parasyuk promised to initiate a bill to provide a one-time benefit to participants of the anti-terrorist operation for the purchase of a vehicle abroad. He fulfilled his promise just a month after he made it: the draft law “On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine (regarding the regulation of transit and temporary importation of personal vehicles)” was registered in the Rada. Parasyuk was one of its initiators. The draft law provides for exemption from customs duties for the import of one car with foreign registration for ATO participants.
The MP also promised to prepare a bill to increase the fine for illegal garbage disposal by 100 times. “Not 51 hryvnias, but 5.1 thousand hryvnias. If the carrot does not work, then I see that we need a stick,” he said. At the end of 2016, Parasiuk registered a draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Strengthening Responsibility for Certain Offenses in the Field of Waste Management.”
As promised, the MP did not support judicial reform. In his opinion, “this is not a reform, but a direct usurpation of the judiciary.”
Parasyuk’s confession to the Maidan killings
At the beginning of the interview, Dmytro Gordon asked Parasyuk about the goals of the “Parasyuk group”, whose three dozen members were the first to open fire on Berkut officers. After that, Maidan was literally sprinkled with blood. The former Maidan centurion answered this question evasively. But then the most interesting thing began.
Parasyuk openly admitted that the Berkut officers were shot from the conservatory where his group was stationed, armed to the teeth.
“They shot back at the Berkut. Yes, it happened. It happened, and there is no need to be afraid of it, and everyone knows it,” Parasyuk told Gordon.
“And what is there to prove when one weapon was handed over to ten people? It was an agreement that, guys, if we are responsible, then we are all responsible together.”
In other words, to prevent the police from later identifying the killers, the weapons used in the shots were passed from hand to hand to blur fingerprints.
“I saw with my own eyes, and this is the first time I’ve talked about it, how they took the weapons and said, ‘Let me shoot, so that if we are punished, there will be hundreds of us,’” Parasyuk said.
Parasyuk realized that he was committing a crime. And he consciously went for it. He deliberately shot and killed. Why did he do it? To pave his way to material prosperity. To jump into his only social elevator. And he succeeded.
Then journalist Gordon asked Parasyuk directly whether he had killed police officers on the Maidan.

But I don’t know how their fate turned out and, frankly, I don’t care at all. I definitely threw a Molotov cocktail at the Berkut, I burned an armored personnel carrier with it, I turned over a bus. My father and I were the first to turn a bus over on Epiphany and set it on fire. I did a lot of things,” the former MP said.
It’s hard to believe, but Parasyuk claims that President Petro Poroshenko allegedly wanted to imprison him. But he did not take the risk, he was afraid.
“Do you know why Poroshenko didn’t put me in jail just for Maidan? Because they were also considering the version that I was a murderer there, walking around with an assault rifle and shooting everyone left and right. Because where do you put that? Well, okay, he won the Maidan there. And then who are you, Poroshenko?” Parasyuk said.
If Petro Poroshenko and his godfather Yuriy Lutsenko proved Parasyuk’s guilt in court, they would have to sit in the dock themselves.
“Lutsenko was dialing and saying: “I don’t know what I’m going to do to all of you there. Quickly hide these files and let them lie there. Because can you imagine how in Poroshenko’s time they would announce a suspicion to a Maidan activist for opposing Berkut? It’s tantamount to suicide, just shooting yourself,” Parasyuk told Gordon in an interview.

Two former members of the Ukrainian parliament, Mykhailo Dobkin and Volodymyr Parasyuk, got into a live foul-mouthed conflict on air. The MPs decided to discuss the Revolution of Dignity, but instead started a showdown with mutual insults.
The incident occurred on the live broadcast of the Ukraine 24 TV channel. Volodymyr Parasyuk was asked a question about the results of the Revolution of Dignity. Instead of answering, the former MP said that he was surprised by the presence of some guests in the studio.
“I am shocked, first of all, that if you are talking about the Revolution of Dignity, Ms. Natalia, you cannot invite Ukrainophobes and corrupt officials to the studio. Because the Revolution of Dignity is a great page in the history of Ukraine, in which people died,” Parasyuk addressed the host.

On December 9, scandalous non-factional MP Volodymyr Parasyuk caused a traffic accident in Lviv. The incident occurred at night, around 23:30, at 65 Chornovil Street.
According to the ZIK news agency, citing its own sources, the parliamentarian did not observe safe speed and interval and crashed into a business-class Audi A6 car parked in front of him.
The MP was reportedly driving the car himself. No one was injured in the accident. Except, of course, for the cars — they suffered mechanical damage.
It is possible that the patrol police drew up a report against Parasyuk under Article 124 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of traffic rules that caused damage to vehicles). In an interview with GORDON, non-factional MP Volodymyr Parasyuk admitted that he would like to head the Ukrainian Interior Ministry after his term of office ends.
“What will I do if I am no longer elected to the Verkhovna Rada? Oh, I will live! I’ll probably have to fight off the attacks of the Prosecutor General’s Office, and they will have a real opportunity to get me. For now, my deputy status prohibits them from doing so. In general, I would like to get into the executive branch, to head some department. My dream is to head a law enforcement agency, such as the Interior Ministry,” Parasyuk said.

Before the events on Maidan, Volodymyr Parasyuk, a resident of Lviv, earned his living by videotaping weddings and birthdays. After he became an MP, his existence changed dramatically. On his left hand, he now wears a fashionable 15,000 UAH Certina Swiss watch, which his sister allegedly gave him, and recently Parasiuk replaced it with a newfangled 8,000 UAH Samsung electronic watch. His personal chauffeur brings him to work in the parliament in a Skoda executive sedan, and recently he has been accompanied by a bodyguard. Interestingly, in 2013, when Ukrainians took to the Maidan for the second time, Volodymyr Parasyuk had no apartment, no car, and no salary. But in 2014, he and his family increased their income quite a bit. According to the declaration, Parasyuk’s family earned almost a million hryvnias (they are engaged in trade in Lviv). And only 29,000 hryvnias of this amount was “brought” to the family budget by the centurion himself. This is his deputy salary. Neither his living space nor his vehicle appeared in the most recent documents.

Volodymyr Parasiuk earned 29,142 hryvnias and 68 kopecks in 2014. His parents earned 942,895 hryvnias and 2 kopecks. Their salary amounted to 20,110 UAH 38 kopecks; 10,479 UAH 64 kopecks — unemployment benefits; 912,305 UAH — income from entrepreneurial and independent professional activities.
The MP’s family owns a land plot of 0.60 hectares. They also own a 100-square-meter house.
Parasiuk does not have a car, but his family drives a 2008 Mercedes Vito.
2015
According to his 2015 income declaration, Ukrainian MP Volodymyr Parasyuk earned only 75,000 hryvnias. However, despite such a modest salary, he has changed three cars in two years and rents an apartment in an upscale neighborhood of Kyiv.
According to his income declaration, in 2014 MP Volodymyr Parasyuk earned no more than 30,000 hryvnias, i.e. he received about 2,500 hryvnias per month. It is also not known where the MP lived and what he used to travel by, as the document lists only one Mercedes Vito registered to his relatives. But already in 2015, things went a little better for Parasyuk. Exactly one day before the introduction of criminal liability for false declaration of income, the MP disclosed 75,000 hryvnias of his annual earnings.
However, despite such a modest salary, the “deputy from the people” likes to change cars frequently. In two years, Parasiuk has changed three cars, costing over a million hryvnias each. The MP has repeatedly admitted that in addition to the salary he receives for his work in the Verkhovna Rada, he also lives on the profits from his father’s business. For some reason, however, Volodymyr did not declare the existence of all this transport in his declaration.
But it’s not just cars that the servant of the people is hiding — there is not a single word about housing in the declaration. There is no mention of a rented apartment on Lesia Ukrainka Boulevard.
The average monthly cost of renting an apartment in this district of the capital is 15,000 hryvnias, while the MP’s salary is 500 hryvnias less. The deputy himself explains this paradox simply: the state pays for the apartment, i.e. Ukrainians pay for it with their taxes.
According to his electronic declaration, in 2016, Volodymyr Parasiuk received UAH 161.51 thousand in salary, UAH 168.36 thousand in compensation from the state for rent, and another UAH 169.87 thousand for performing his parliamentary duties. His parents earned UAH 1,037,821: UAH 996,500 in business income and UAH 41,321 in pensions. Parasyuk had $8853 in his Privatbank account. The MP owned a Škoda Superb (2011) worth UAH 353,250, which he purchased in 2015, and his father owned a Mercedes Vito (1999). Volodymyr Parasyuk’s relatives owned four land plots and two houses in the village of Papirnia, Lviv region.
According to the declaration, Parasyuk does not own any real estate, he uses a Skoda Superb made in 2011. The MP’s mother declared UAH 996.5 thousand of income from entrepreneurial activity, a 95-square-meter house and two land plots with a total area of 6,500 square meters in Lviv region, and his father owns a 1999 Mecedes-Benz Vito, the value of which is not specified. Parasyuk’s grandmother listed a 66-square-meter house and two land plots (2,500 and 4,685 square meters) in Lviv region.
— On March 31, 2016, it became known that Parasyuk’s 2015 declaration did not include any cars or apartments in Kyiv. But this did not stop him from changing three cars in two years and living on the elite Lesia Ukrainka Boulevard in the center of the capital. At the same time, Parasyuk filed his declaration only one day before the introduction of criminal liability for false declaration of income.

— According to the price list of the company’s official dealer in Ukraine, the MP’s Subaru Outback, which was damaged by a grenade explosion, costs 1.1 million hryvnias. This is approximately the amount of money Parasyuk’s relatives, father and mother, who are listed in the declaration, managed to earn together in 2015. It is noteworthy that in February 2016, journalists caught the MP arriving at the Verkhovna Rada in a white Ford Mondeo, which is not cheap. The price for such a car starts at 809 thousand hryvnias, and for the maximum configuration, you need to pay more than 950 thousand hryvnias. Last summer, Volodymyr Parasyuk drove a Skoda Superb. In a car dealership, this car costs from 736 thousand hryvnias to 1.3 million. Parasyuk has already paid fines for traffic violations twice. However, by a strange coincidence, none of these cars were included in the MP’s declaration.
Summary
Volodymyr Zinoviyovych is probably someone’s pawn. Someone is standing over him. He tries to defend his country from lying MPs and supports the idea of nationalism. But it’s all just dust in his eyes. He himself gets paid for his dirty work, so he changes cars like gloves and allows himself too much. He knows that no matter what he does, he will not be imprisoned, he has a “master” who will not allow this.
