Many social media users consider Ustenko Jr. to be a classical major who owes his success and position in society solely to his origins. Oleksiy himself carefully ignores this topic in every interview.
Ustenko got into a major scandal in 2019. He publicly stated that Ukraine was to blame for Russian aggression and the annexation of Crimea and Donbas. In his opinion, our country provoked Moscow to hostility after the scandalous Kolesnichenko and Kivalov language law was repealed in 2014.
“Servant” Ustenko and ex-deputy Spivak quarrel on TV show
Oleksiy Ustenko, a member of the Servant of the People party, and Dmytro Spivak, a former deputy of the Odesa City Council, got into a fight on a TV show while discussing the topic of Big Construction. The conflict took place on the air of the program on the Ukraine 24 TV channel.
Dmytro Spivak drew attention to the increase in the cost of roads. According to Spivak, the price of construction has doubled. Ustenko asked the speaker to clarify the details in the figures. Because the MP asked for clarification, he interrupted Dmytro Spivak, and a skirmish ensued in the studio.
Dmytro Spivak: “Let’s do this: Either I finish and no one interrupts me, or I shut up, everyone, I shut up. Maybe I’ll leave? Let me go… unfortunately for you, I am not interested in your opinion at all. I’m not talking to you,” Spivak said.
Ustenko interrupted him and said: “Who are you talking to? Leave the studio.”
“Servant of the People” is tired and ashamed in the Rada
Oleksiy Ustenko, a deputy from the pro-presidential Servant of the People party, laid down to rest at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
The photo was posted on his Facebook page by photographer Yan Dobronosov. Ukrainians online reacted strongly to the “sleeping” “servant of the people”.

Oleksiy Ustenko is the son of Oleh Ustenko, a freelance advisor (economic affairs) to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Corrupt boss and assistants
Oleksii Ustenko was an assistant to Valerii Dubil, according to the Chesno.org website.
Valeriy Dubil has been repeatedly involved in anti-corruption investigations. As you can see, the list is quite long. It includes fraudulent scams, violations of anti-corruption laws, raiding, and bribing voters…. — in general, a whole bunch. Whether Ustenko was aware of these cases is anyone’s guess.
Now, as a deputy, Ustenko has his own assistants:
Vitaliy Voloshko was the most interesting. Before he became Oleksiy Olehovych’s assistant, he was in the service of Volodymyr Bandurov, who has a fairly extensive corruption record.
Declaration
Oleksii Ustenko’s declaration did not immediately appear in the public domain. But at the end of 2020, he did submit it, and it turns out that, based on the information provided there, Oleksiy has a wife, Alina. And most of the real estate is registered to his wife, despite the fact that there is no information about her income. The price of the property and the date of purchase are also missing, which already suggests illicit enrichment. There are no reasons why the declarant did not provide this information.
Similarly, there is an antique item that is also registered in his wife’s name, and its price is not indicated either.
Oleksiy’s wife also received a gift of UAH 10 million. Alina herself has a small income — a scholarship of UAH 13 thousand per year.
Summary
As we all know, only those who have already had corruption experience get into politics, or through nepotism. In this case, it was both. Unfortunately, Oleksiy Ustenko has already shown his true colors, and we can conclude that he has absolutely no understanding of politics, but he will be able to enrich himself through his former corrupt connections.
