Bohdan Vasylovych Yaremenko (September 25, 1971, Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) is a Ukrainian statesman and politician, diplomat. Since August 29, 2019, he has been a Member of Parliament of Ukraine from the Servant of the People party, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation.

- On November 30, 2013, Yaremenko expressed his attitude to the dispersal of the Euromaidan student protests on his Facebook page, comparing the actions of Berkut to those of punishers and fascists. The next day, Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara accused Yaremenko of violating his oath as a civil servant, and the next day the Ukrainian consul general was urgently recalled from Istanbul, given five days to pack up. On December 8, Yaremenko returned to Kyiv and went on a long vacation.

Family.
His wife, Viktoriia Petrivna, is an English teacher. She worked as a secretary to First Deputy Foreign Minister Mykola Makarevych. She and Bohdan Yaremenko met in 1993 at the Foreign Ministry and got married two years later. Their daughter Yaroslava was born in 1999 in New York, and their son Vasyl in 2007 in Edinburgh.
Bohdan Yaremenko has two brothers: Oles (born in 1965), a software engineer, and Yaroslav (born in 1978), a lawyer. His son is Vasyl-Andrew Yaremenko.

Bohdan Yaremenko entered the diplomatic service thanks to diplomat Yurii Serhiiev, whom he met while studying at the university’s philology department and with whom his father was friends. In addition to him, Yaremenko names well-known diplomats as his teachers, including former Deputy Foreign Minister Mykola Makarevych.
He believes that Kolomoisky, as one of the sponsors of the Servant of the People party, is interested in changing the system rather than in his own interests.
He has a good attitude towards Yulia Tymoshenko, but believes that her political activity is aimed mainly at satisfying her own needs, not the needs of society.
On November 30, 2013, Yaremenko received several job offers from a number of political forces.

On March 16, 2015, when Ukrainian embassies abroad suddenly stopped accepting applications for passports, Bohdan Yaremenko “Someone in the state must be held accountable for such things. And if this someone is not found who has to set up the system so that everything works smoothly, then the responsibility should be placed on Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk.”
On September 17, 2018, Yaremenko said that Ukraine should not have handed over Timur Tumgoev for torture and certain death, and this is a consequence of hybridity towards the aggressor.
In early August 2019, Bohdan Yaremenko gave a detailed assessment of Iryna Gerashchenko and Volodymyr Ariev, who, instead of working systematically, “jumped from negotiation to negotiation” and made loud statements.
For the past five years, he has been an active political opponent of Petro Poroshenko. He speaks negatively about the outgoing president’s personnel fever. Bohdan Yaremenko’s current political views:
- For the creation of national Crimean Tatar autonomy;
- for the blockade of trade with Donbas;
- against the creation of a free economic zone in Crimea;
- that we need to prepare for those who are much tougher and worse than Putin to come to power in Russia.
On September 9, 2019, Yaremenko told TSN that the Minsk agreements were shameful, that they did not work and did not bring peace to Ukraine. But it is no longer possible to abandon them and we will have to go through transformation and change the interpretation. In the same interview, Yaremenko explained in simple terms why Ukraine will not receive an invitation to join the EU or NATO’s MAP in the next 5-10 years, but should still move in this direction, as it is its civilizational choice enshrined in the Constitution.
On September 17, 2019, in a comment to the agency, Yaremenko said that he would initiate the introduction of criminal liability for negotiations with representatives of the aggressor country (the Russian Federation) by persons not authorized by Ukraine.
As a reminder, representatives of the pro-Russian Opposition Platform — For Life party, Viktor Medvedchuk, Yuriy Boyko, and Vadym Rabinovych, have repeatedly visited Russia on their own initiative, where they held talks with Dmitry Medvedev and representatives of Gazprom.
Protest against Yanukovych
On the night of the dispersal of students on the Maidan in November 2013, Yaremenko was the only one among Yanukovych’s diplomats who spoke in support of the protesters, not the president, and paid for it with a good position.
Sexual correspondence
Last year, Bohdan Yaremenko became famous for his correspondence with girls in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada.
The MP has two dating chats on his smartphone: “Mom’s Dating Network…” and ‘Loveeto’.
During the vote, Yaremenko was reading the profile of a 32-year-old woman named Alina, who indicated her preferences: sex, meeting, dating. She also indicated that she was not interested in a relationship.
Then Bohdan Yaremenko began to correspond with the girl, possibly another one:

Girl: Hello. The place is yours. Sex is protected, classic and oral. Anal is taboo. One hour is 100 dollars. Two hours — 150. I do not stay overnight.
Later, the publication published a video of the MP chatting on the Tinder dating network this morning.
Thus, Yaremenko logged into the Tinder dating app on his smartphone and began to scroll through the girls “offered” to him. It is worth noting that in this application, the user must specify the age range, the territory where the “half” should live, and then the program gives the user the appropriate profiles.
In October 2019, journalists recorded Bohdan Yaremenko’s correspondence with a prostitute in the Verkhovna Rada, allegedly with a prostitute. First, the politician communicated with the prostitute, and then he asked the 20-year-old girl how much money she needed per month.
He later commented on the information on his Facebook page. Initially, the politician denied everything, trying to convince everyone that it was a planned provocation against journalists.
However, on November 1, Yaremenko announced his resignation from the Foreign Policy Committee. On November 11, the party approved his resignation.
On January 17, 2020, Bohdan Yaremenko was dismissed from the post of chairman of the parliamentary committee dealing with foreign policy.

The Verkhovna Rada dismissed Yaremenko from the post of committee chairman
On Friday, January 17, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Bohdan Yaremenko, a member of the Servant of the People party, from the post of chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation.
The draft resolution was supported by 317 MPs.
«In order to save Ukrainian parliamentarism from me… and given the petty political blackmail of three parliamentary factions, I have written a statement of resignation from the chairmanship of the committee,» Yaremenko wrote.
He noted that he would later publish a photocopy of his resignation letter.
“I will write it. But I will hand it over to the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (in front of whom I am really embarrassed for this mess) only when and if the decision on my resignation is made by the faction of the Servant of the People party, which recommended me for this position (approximately on Monday, in a week),” the MP said.
Violation of traffic rules
Ukrainian diplomat Bohdan Yaremenko became a “hero” of a small domestic scandal in April 2016 because he parked his car on the lawn, violating traffic rules. The hype around this was made by Yevhen Tarnopolsky, deputy director of the Kyiv Institute of Land Relations, on his Facebook page. He was walking his dog and saw that Yaremenko’s car was allegedly parked in the wrong place. “Is this the level of Ukrainian diplomacy?” Tarnopolsky wrote in his ‘compromising material’ in a scathing tone.
The two sides of the conflict got into an argument and filmed each other. Yaremenko, for his part, accused Tarnopolsky of walking a dog without a muzzle. And he reacted to the situation on his Facebook page in a less than “diplomatic” manner, calling his opponent “a guy with the letter ‘m’.
About Zelensky
Back in March 2019, Yaremenko spoke quite wittily about the wary attitude of the “patriotic public” towards President Zelensky and the comparison of Volodymyr Zelensky with Viktor Yanukovych, calling the latter “artificial and pulled from the finger.” “It is not the lack of ‘presidential’ experience that is the main claim of the patriotic public to Volodymyr Zelenskyi… Zelenskyi is not a carrier of the Ukrainian ethnic mentality. This is obvious. This is simply a consequence of his biography. That is why he is not sensitive to topics that irritate the Ukrainian environment. That’s why he allows himself to make jokes that stir up the Ukrainian-speaking patriotic community (which can afford to talk about “nenka” and other things, but only Ukrainian-speaking Ukrainians have the right to criticize Ukraine).”
In one of his extensive interviews, the MP is not sure of the absolute infallibility of his new party members: “The biggest threat for Zelensky is that the party does not start stealing,” he said.
Property
Bohdan Yaremenko’s declaration of property, income, expenses, and financial liabilities is not publicly available.
It should be noted that, in accordance with the requirements of subparagraph 4 of paragraph 2 of part 1 of Art. 1 of Art. 3 “On Prevention of Corruption”, the subjects of electronic declaration are duly registered candidates for people’s deputies.
According to the declaration of parliamentary candidate Bohdan Yaremenko “on the expenditure of the election fund”, he filled it with UAH 211 thousand and individuals in the amount of UAH 1 million 70 thousand 555. In total, the fund amounted to UAH 1 million 281 thousand 555. Some individuals replenished the fund with amounts that exactly match the size: five for UAH 49 thousand, three for UAH 47.5 thousand, two for UAH 45 thousand and two for UAH 40 thousand.
Summary
Yaremenko is a lover of young girls. What else is there to do in the Verkhovna Rada but flip through profiles and meet young prostitutes? By doing so, Bohdan Yaremenko has seriously undermined the reputation of the Servants of the People, which is why he was expelled from the faction.
