Oleksii Heorhiiovych Martynov
Official biography
Born on June 6, 1966 in the city of Ludinovo, Kaluga Region, Russia.
Education: Dnipropetrovs’k State University.
Career.
His business partners are Igor Kolomoisky and Gennadiy Bogolyubov.
In 1989, after graduation, he got a job at the Fianit cooperative, where he worked for 1.5 years on the development of automatic control systems. It was there that he met Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov.
In 1991, the partners opened their own company, Sentosa, and started speculating.
Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov bought equipment in Moscow. Martynov sold it in Dnipro.
By that time, the young businessmen had another partner, Leonid Miloslavsky, the son of an influential businessman in Dnipro (he died of a heart attack in 1997).
In 1992, together with Boholyubov, Kolomoisky, and Miloslavsky, they founded Privatbank. At that time, all partners had an equal share of 25% each. The first founders of Privatbank were three companies: Solm (Miloslavsky-Martynov), Sentosa (Kolomoisky-Boholyubov), and Vist.
To raise money for the new financial project, the businessmen began buying up businesses: an oil depot, gas stations, Marhanets and Ordzhonikidze mining and processing plants.
In 1996, after Myloslavsky’s death, he became the permanent director of Solm LTD.
Ihor Kolomoisky said that there is a conditional division of control over business programs among Privat’s shareholders.
“Martynov is primarily involved in ferroalloys, while Boholyubov is in charge of Privatbank, which is his main workload.
From 2000 until the nationalization, Martynov was a member of Privatbank’s supervisory board. The bank’s largest shareholder was the Cypriot offshore Triantal Investments Ltd.
It was owned by Gennadiy Bogolyubov, Ihor Kolomoisky and Oleksiy Martynov through Fransiano Investments Ltd. Boholyubov and Kolomoisky each held 49.9% of the authorized capital of Fransiano Investments Ltd, while Martynov held 0.2%.
Politics.
In 2006, he ran for the Rada on the list of the Peasant Party. Its leader at the time was Oleksandr Yavorsky. Martynov was No. 5, and Kolomoisky’s partner in the oil business, Ihor Palytsia, was No. 6. The party received 0.31% of the vote.
In an interview with journalists, Kolomoisky said that Martynov was an apolitical person, and called his participation in the political project an accident.
Family.
Daughter — Ksenia Oleksiivna Martynova, born on December 28, 1990.
Ksenia now lives in Kyiv and often posts photos from her mansion in Koncha Zaspa.
She is a member of the Ukrainian Equestrian Federation of Ukraine.
For more than three years, and in 2016-2019, Martynova worked at the Equides Club, an equestrian club owned by the family of ATB co-owner Gennadiy Butkevych.
In March 2020, she was looking for a job through free online classifieds. She indicated that she was ready to take the position of development manager. She knows how to conduct inventories, tenders and negotiations, and sign contracts with partners.
Ksenia is a philologist and diplomat by education, fluent in English and German.
Her former wife is Tatiana Martynova (maiden name: Naumenko). On social media, she stated that she was originally from Chernivtsi and now lives in Vienna.
This is Oleksiy’s second marriage. The couple got married in 2009. They have three children. The eldest is Leonid, and the twins are Maria and Oleksandra.
In February 2020, the Zhovtnevyi Court of Dnipro divorced Oleksii and Tetiana. Martynov was the initiator. He told the court that since the summer of 2019, his wife has been abroad almost all the time, does not take care of the children, and behaves aggressively. She threatens to take the kids and take them out of the country.
Now Martynov wants to determine the children’s place of residence in court. So he asked the State Border Guard Service for information about his ex-wife’s border crossing. This will confirm that Tatiana rarely visits Ukraine.
The ex-wife is Elvira Auzakhovna Martynova, born on August 24, 1966. She is no longer alive.
Sister — Karpenko Anna Georgievna, born on January 13, 1971.
Nephew — Danylo Karpenko, born on June 6, 1994. He is the deputy director of the Dnipropetrovs’k regional branch of the state enterprise SETAM, through which seized property is sold at auctions.
Danylo’s father, Dmytro Viktorovych Karpenko, has been in the Myrotvorets database since 2016. He was placed there for financing terrorism, anti-Ukrainian propaganda and agitation.
Compromising material
He is probably the most secretive businessman of all Ukrainian businessmen. Whereas his business partners Kolomoisky and Boholyubov give interviews and meet with the press, even journalists from Dnipropetrovs’k, where the businessman is a permanent resident, can tell little about Martynov. The businessman gave his first (and so far only) interview to Korrespondent magazine in 2010.

For a long time, the press did not even have a photo of the businessman; only people in his circle knew him by sight. For example, when compiling a ranking of the richest people in Ukraine, Focus magazine asked the businessman to provide information about himself, but he refused, and the journalists received neither the data nor the photo.
Despite his wealth, the businessman does not want to live anywhere else but his native Dnipro. He considers himself a provincial man and does not want to move to Miami or New York, not even to Kyiv. In his interview with Korrespondent, he also convinced the journalist that he has no real estate or other assets abroad. By the way, the same “provincialism” stops the businessman from wanting to go into government, to the Verkhovna Rada.
ALEXEY MARTYNOV LEFT THOUSANDS OF WORKERS OF A LARGE UKRAINIAN PLANT WITHOUT SALARIES
About six thousand employees of the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant, owned by Ihor Kolomoisky, remain hostage to a shady scheme.
The oligarch withdrew about 125 billion hryvnias from PrivatBank through his business partner Oleksiy Martynov. It is known that this bank, like the plant in Nikopol, also belonged to the Privat group.
For several months now, people have not received their salaries and continue to hold noisy pickets in Dnipro, demanding their money back.
At the same time, Oleksiy Martynov, who has essentially created such a desperate situation for hundreds of families, may be appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine. Replacing key players in the Ukrainian government is beneficial for Kolomoisky to deepen his influence on the country’s economy.
Kolomoisky’s trust in Oleksiy Martynov is based on decades of joint work.
Kolomoisky’s friend took a child away from his wife
A mother has not seen her son for four months!
Oleksiy Martynov, a member of the Privat group, is a friend and close associate of the gray-haired oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, who took his child from his wife. Alexey failed to end the relationship on a peaceful note, as his upbringing did not allow him to do so. Without hesitation, the businessman left his sick wife with nothing, taking the children and riding off into the sunset, reports the NM correspondent.

How Kolomoisky is preparing a coup in the Ukrainian government
A longtime business partner of oligarch Kolomoisky may get one of the ministerial portfolios in the government.
We are talking about businessman Oleksiy Martynov, who is one of the founders and trustees of PrivatBank. According to sources close to the businessman, Martynov is being considered for the post of Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine. It is possible that Martynov could even become the country’s new prime minister. A reset of the Ukrainian government will be possible after the final split between Kolomoisky and the president.

Martynov’s transition to big Ukrainian politics is an original Kolomoisky strategy, reserved for a special occasion. An experienced businessman with aristocratic manners will easily fit into the concept of a “government of technocrats” that still enjoys the trust of Ukrainians. At the same time, Martynov himself admitted in a recent interview that he is considering entering the big political arena.
Scandals
In 2014, after the outbreak of the war in Donbas, the Russian Investigative Committee accused Kolomoisky of “financing Ukrainian armed groups” and arrested the Elit Holding shopping center in central Moscow.
The business center is located on Povarskaya Street (Novy Arbat). According to the Russian authorities, the owners of the premises were Kolomoisky, Bogolyubov, Martynov and a Muscovite, Dmitry Ryabokon.
The Russian businessman’s lawyers claimed that the business center was 100% owned by him. In 2002, he took out a loan to buy the building from MoskomPrivat, a subsidiary of Ukraine’s PrivatBank.
In 2018, Alexey Martynov, Gennady Bogolyubov, and Privat-controlled Dniproazot were included in the sanctions list of the Russian Federation. Kolomoisky’s name is not on the list.
Criminal record
The media reported that on October 11, 2009, in Dnipro, the oligarch’s daughter Ksenia Martynova, driving an orange Infiniti, hit 62-year-old Lyubov Temna on a pedestrian crossing. According to an eyewitness, the car fled the scene.
The pensioner died on the spot. That morning, she was returning from a night shift, working as a guard at the university. Ksenia was studying there at the time.

A month later, the regional police confirmed that Ksenia Martynova was driving. And they promised that they would bring the case to an end. A year later, the police refused to comment on the investigation. The register of court decisions also contains no information about the fatal accident.
«Kolomoisky and Co. make money on Moscow real estate
The Elite Holding company, founded by the Ukrainian oligarch and his partners in the Privat group, is renting out a luxury building on the Arbat.
According to Izvestia, Ihor Kolomoisky and his partners in the Privat group, Gennadiy Bogolyubov and Alexey Martynov, control the building in the Moscow Arbat district (10 Povarskaya Street) through Cypriot structures and the capital’s Elite Holding CJSC. According to an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, CJSC Elit-Holding owns and leases a restored early 20th century mansion on Povarskaya, and the building is also used by affiliated structures of the holding.

Despite the fact that Ihor Kolomoisky claims that he has no business in Russia, the Privat group controlled by the oligarch also owns the PET packaging and plastic products corporation Retal, which has as many as 11 branches in Russia.
Currently, Retal is registered in Kyiv. The owner is Retal Industries Limited. The island of Cyprus, Limassol. However, the main potential of the company has been concentrated in Russia since 1994, where it has up to 11 powerful branches.
The You Control information and analytical system shows that Retal Ukraine is related to the conventional Privat group not in the past, but right now.
This is confirmed by the management of the company and Cypriot companies. Among them is Kolomoisky’s longtime manager Yuriy Khmara. Anatoliy Martynov, the oligarch’s longtime partner, is the CEO of Retal. Martynov is a businessman from Dnipro, a beneficiary of the companies Shchedro and Optimusagro Trade. Both of these holdings, according to the You Control registry, are linked to the so-called Privat financial and industrial group. Moreover, Martynov himself is listed on the same resource as a person associated with Kolomoisky. So the fact remains that people connected to him through many business ties still run the company Retal.
Wealth — income, business, declarations
He is among the TOP-100 richest Ukrainians. Novoye Vremya magazine and Dragon Capital estimated his net worth at $602 million.

Summary
Unfortunately, little is known about Martynov, but given the fact that Alexey Georgievich is a close friend of Igor Kolomoisky, it is scary to imagine what machinations are taking place with his participation. What is known to the Internet, only a tiny part of all the financial schemes of the group “Privat”, and direct participation in these schemes Martynov.
