Hlib Pryhunov’s wife is Yulia Burduzha, whom the future chairman of the regional council met while studying at the medical academy. They got married in his fourth year of study. The family has three children.
Career.
From August 1997 to September 2005, he worked at the Dnipro Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital in the emergency diagnostic department as a surgeon.
From September 2002 to February 2004, he studied at the Dnipro Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, specializing in Public Administration, Master of Public Administration.
In 2002, he headed the city organization of the Reforms and Order party, and in the same year became a deputy of the Kirovskyi District Council in the city of Dnipro.
In 2004, he was an active participant in the Orange Revolution and a member of the headquarters of presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko.
In 2005, he joined the political council of the People’s Union “Our Ukraine” political party.
From 2005 to 2010 — Head of the Department for Internal Policy of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional State Administration.
Since 2010 — Deputy Chairman of the Dnipropetrovs’k regional organization of the Front for Change party.

From the first days of Euromaidan, he openly supported the protesters and took a direct part in the confrontation between demonstrators and security forces in Kyiv and Dnipro.
After Petro Poroshenko won the 2014 early presidential election, he headed the regional branch of the presidential party, being elected to the position of the head of the secretariat of the Dnipropetrovs’k regional territorial organization of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc “Solidarity” party.
From October to December 2015, he was Deputy Head of the Dnipro Regional State Administration.

Hlib Pryhunov is known in Dnipro as a pediatrician, activist, politician, patriot, and participant of two Maidans. However, along with these honorable facts, Hlib Pryhunov’s dossier also includes corruption scandals, ties to criminal authorities, and a dubious income declaration.
Head of Dnipro Regional Council violated the secrecy of voting
Hlib Pryhunov, the head of the Dnipro Regional Council, posted a photo of himself at a polling station with an open ballot on social media. “The mistake did not go unnoticed, and the photo quickly spread on social media. Later, Hlib Prygunov removed the photo, but it had already spread across the network,” the Informator website notes.
And after the election results were announced, Pryhunov demanded that the parliament set the date of the inauguration as soon as possible so that the newly elected head of state could take office as soon as possible. This gave rise to accusations that the politician had switched political camps again.
Deputy Governor of Dnipro Hlib Pryhunov detained in Chernihiv for beating a sociologist
In Chernihiv, a deputy of the Dnipro Regional Council and advisor to the regional governor, Hlib Pryhunov, was detained at a polling station on Dotsenko Street for assaulting a sociologist of the New Image Marketing Group (conducting an exit poll commissioned by Hennadiy Korban’s headquarters).
“The hooligan was detained by the police and is sitting in a minibus under guard. MPs from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Kuryachy, Pavelko and Matvienko came to rescue their comrade,” Filatov wrote on his Facebook page.
As you know, Prygunov is a member of the Dnipro Regional Council and the head of the regional organization of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party.
In Dnipropetrovs’k region, money is collected from district heads “for the needs” of the head of the regional council
In Dnipropetrovs’k region, fraudsters are calling district council chairmen and asking them for money on behalf of the head of the Dnipropetrovs’k regional administration, Hlib Prygunov. This was reported by Mr. Prygunov himself. “Yesterday, on my behalf, the fraudsters asked the heads of district councils to transfer money to their cards. Allegedly, I have some kind of force majeure and I am borrowing money,” the official wrote on his social media page. According to Prygunov, at first, the district heads received calls allegedly from his assistant, then allegedly from him. However, the people who received the calls know Prygunov’s voice and suspected fraud.
Then the scammers started sending messages on Viber. “I want to warn everyone: first, I am personally acquainted and have fruitful communication with every head of the district council, united territorial community, and almost every city. They all know the peculiarities of my communication, they all know my assistants, and my cell phone number has not changed for many years. Secondly, no matter what force majeure I have, I will not take it from my colleagues and subordinates,” said the head of the regional council. He also attached to his message a fragment of the fraudsters’ correspondence on Viber. According to Prygunov, the address from which the calls and correspondence were made has already been identified.
In Dnipro, the regional council and regional administration order the most “jeans”
According to a study by the Institute of Mass Information (IMI), the media in Dnipro region have the highest level of hidden advertising, or so-called “jeans,” among the southeastern regions of Ukraine — 9%.
Most of the news with signs of “jeans” was recorded on television — one out of eight stories contained signs of paid-for news. In the press, there were 8% of paid-for publications, and 7% of paid-for news in online media. According to IMI, most of the materials with signs of political order during the monitoring period were in favor of Hlib Pryhunov, head of the Dnipro Regional Council, Dnipro Regional Administration, Dnipro City Council, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, Zahid Krasnov, deputy head of the Dnipro City Council, head of the Hromadska Syla political force, Svitlana Yepifantseva, deputy mayor of Dnipro, Kamianske City Council, Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov, MP from the Opposition Bloc Oleksandr Vilkul, and the Opposition Bloc party itself. The research was conducted in January 2017.
Hlib Pryhunov is a wolf in sheep’s clothing
Volodymyr Moskalenko, the author of the anthem and coat of arms of Novomoskovsk, recently turned 80. Many residents of Novomoskovsk came to congratulate Vladimir Petrovich. Politicians of our city and region were no exception. Among those who congratulated him was the scandalous leader of the Opposition Bloc political force, Oleksandr Ivanov.
He was running for the Novomoskovsk City Council from the Party of Regions, but people did not elect him. In 2015, Oleksandr Ivanov again tried to run for the council from the Opposition Bloc as the head of the city party, but again, the residents did not elect him, most likely because of his rotten reputation. Ivanov began his greetings on behalf of the head of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Council, a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc “Solidarity” Hlib Pryhunov.
Ivanov coped with the task, handed the jubilee a commemorative sign «85 years of Dnipropetrovs’k region» from Hlib Prygunov, presented a certificate and said warm words that Hlib Prygunov conveyed to the jubilee through Ivanov. Oleksandr Ivanov also congratulated the jubilee on behalf of Oleksandr Vilkul, the former RIGA and current leader of the Opposition Bloc political party.
After two congratulations with gifts from the BPP’s Hlib Pryhunov and the Opposition Bloc’s Oleksandr Vilkul, the audience asked Ivanov a question: «Are you definitely authorized to congratulate Hlib Pryhunov, the head of the Dnipro Regional Council, a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc «Solidarity», and then the odious «Opposition Bloc» member Oleksandr Vilkul?» To which Oleksandr Oleksiyovych replied that he had been personally authorized by Pryhunov and Vilkul to congratulate Volodymyr Moskalenko and present gifts to the jubilee.
Oleksandr Oleksiyovych also added that Hlib Pryhunov and Oleksandr Vilkul are old friends and have never quarreled over politics. Most likely, Prygunov and Vilkul do not quarrel with each other because they are involved in common business. How else can we explain Hlib Pryhunov’s loyalty to the Opposition Bloc in Dnipro? And Pryhunov’s boss, Andriy Pavelko, would not allow Pryhunov to touch Vilkul, because Vilkul and Pavelko have a joint business in Dnipro and the region.
In fact, Poroshenko and his comrades in the person of Andriy Pavelko, Hlib Pryhunov, and the governor of the Dnipro region, Valentyn Reznichenko, are helping and supporting Oleksandr Vilkul and his political force, the Opposition Bloc (formerly the Party of Regions), in every way possible.
This is why we see a picture where, without hiding or hesitation, Oleksandr Vilkul’s people congratulate and give gifts from representatives of Petro Poroshenko’s team, as happened in the case of the jubilee of Volodymyr Moskalenko.
It turns out that Poroshenko and Vilkul are one mafia that is brainwashing the Ukrainian people.
Income declaration
Hlib Pryhunov’s income declaration raises doubts about its authenticity. For example, in 2014, the official received 900 thousand hryvnias of inheritance. He explained this by saying that he was a “hereditary millionaire”. In addition, in 2016, the official bought an 81.5-square-meter apartment in Dnipro for less than $4,000 and a 45.9-square-meter house in Dnipro for less than $2,000. Such low figures do not even correspond to the minimum prices for real estate in Dnipro. At the same time, Prygunov listed a watch worth 173 thousand hryvnias among his declared assets, which is more expensive than the new apartment and house combined. The politician does not have a personal car, but his wife Yulia Burduzha has three cars registered to her, two of which are trucks.
Among his valuables, Pryhunov owns an old icon, an expensive gospel, and 27 investment certificates.
In addition to questions about his income declaration, the politician also has several stains on his reputation, namely:
1. Compilation of the “Book of Memory” in 2012, dedicated to the events of the 1932-1933 Holodomor. For this purpose, money was allocated for the work of historians and researchers to collect information. Instead, the organizers instructed schoolchildren to visit local eyewitnesses of these events and collect their stories. The money, according to reports, was paid to researchers;
2. The scandalous photo of Hlib Prygunov with criminal authority Alexander Petrovsky, nicknamed “Narik,” who took over the Ozerka market in the 1990s and is associated with Chechen and Russian criminal groups.
By the way, in order to clean up Narik’s image, probably not without Pryhunov’s mediation, Poroshenko’s Channel 5 aired a film in which the criminal leader was called the main savior of Dnipro from the Russian occupation in 2014;
3. In 2019, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) reported that the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Council had not submitted a program for the prevention of corruption in the region for approval;
By September 1, according to Pryhunov’s post on social media, he initiated the distribution of gifts to children of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. Although in fact the action was part of a state program, it did not come from the local government, and its officials could not present it as a personal achievement.
Summary
Doctors in politics are rare. And we want to believe that this is for the best, because a doctor’s job is to save lives, not to run a country. But, apparently, Prygunov forgot about this, and when he entered politics, he immediately showed his “dark side”, began to profit from people and befriended a criminal authority. And all the looted funds are already disguised in the declaration as usual. But as we can see, it’s not reliable, because the NABU is still interested in Prygunov’s declarations.
