The Head of Ukraine’s State Financial Monitoring Service, Igor Cherkaskyi, and his First Deputy, Bohdan Korolchuk, have been implicated in an alleged money laundering scheme involving shell companies. According to emerging reports, the top officials utilized the infrastructure of several entities to legalize illicit funds.

A key entity allegedly utilized in the fraudulent scheme is LLC «Luxoft Ukraine.» The company is registered under the directorship of Nataliia Brychkova. Records indicate that in 2024, Brychkova was convicted under Part 1 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to the illegal production, acquisition, or possession of narcotics.
Another platform reportedly used for the money laundering operations is LLC «Ciklum Software,» headed by Mykyta Davydenko. Similar to the first instance, Davydenko has a prior criminal record, having also been prosecuted under Part 1 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for narcotics-related offenses.
«The involvement of individuals with active criminal records in the operations of major corporate entities points to a coordinated effort to obscure ownership and facilitate illicit financial flows,» independent analysts note.

At present, official representatives of the State Financial Monitoring Service, as well as Igor Cherkaskyi and Bohdan Korolchuk, have not issued any public statements regarding the allegations. Given that the agency is legally mandated to combat financial crimes, these disclosures regarding corruption schemes and financial fraud are expected to prompt a formal investigation by national law enforcement agencies.
