Former head of the South-Western Interregional Forestry and Hunting Management Directorate, Oleh Yaremko, who was previously acquitted in a corruption case, has filed his annual asset declaration for 2025. In the document, submitted following his resignation at the end of 2025, the former official disclosed 20 hectares of land in the Lviv region registered under his wife’s name, two leased premium SUVs, and substantial amounts of cash.
According to the official disclosure, Yaremko’s family holds significant land assets in Western Ukraine. Specifically, in 2023, the former official’s wife, Halyna Yaremko, acquired ownership of 10 land plots, each measuring 2 hectares, in the village of Sokolia, Yavoriv district, Lviv region. The total area of the land amounts to 20 hectares, with each plot valued at approximately 60,000 UAH at the time of purchase.
Additionally, the former civil servant’s declaration includes a 102.2-square-meter apartment in Ternopil. Valued at 1.58 million UAH, the property is registered under his son, Vasyl Yaremko, though the former chief and his wife retain the right to free residency. The asset declaration also indicates shares in two garden cooperative associations, «Melisa» and «Dubrova.»
Under the transport category, the family of the former forestry official listed two premium-class vehicles currently held under lease agreements:
BMW X5 (2018 model) — declared value of 870,000 UAH;
Toyota Highlander (2021 model) — declared value of 1.46 million UAH.
The couple’s financial assets are predominantly held in cash. Oleh Yaremko declared 797,000 UAH and 37,000 USD in cash, while his wife holds 184,000 UAH and 38,000 USD.
Throughout 2025, Oleh Yaremko earned 492,000 UAH in salary as the head of the regional forestry directorate. His income was supplemented by a pension of 76,000 UAH and 82,000 UAH from his part-time role as a senior researcher at the Institute of Agroecology. His wife, Halyna Yaremko, reported an annual income of 724,000 UAH.
Oleh Yaremko managed the South-Western Interregional Forestry and Hunting Management Directorate until late 2025. He submitted this final financial disclosure after stepping down from his post and following the court ruling that acquitted him of all corruption charges.
