Roman Yarovyi—a veteran of the Nikopol police force and former head of the Kovel district police—has been appointed head of the Lutsk District Police Department. According to his official asset declaration, the senior officer’s family holds substantial cash savings and several land plots, though they own no residential real estate in Volyn.
Roman Yarovyi’s appointment was confirmed via official records alongside his newly submitted financial disclosure. Prior to his career in Volyn, Yarovyi spent years working in Nikopol before leading the Kovel District Police Department. In February 2026, he officially assumed leadership of the Lutsk District Police.
During the reported period, Roman Yarovyi earned 741,000 UAH in salary, received 1,000 UAH in social benefits from the Volyn regional police, and collected 8,000 UAH from leasing property to LLC «Agrofirma Synthez.»
His wife, Iryna—who previously worked for the Nikopol City Council’s Education Department and a vocational training institute—earned 7,000 UAH from leasing land to the same agricultural firm, alongside 1,000 UAH in state aid via the «Winter Support» program. Their daughter, Arina, a student at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, declared a 24,000 UAH student stipend and nearly 7,000 UAH in land lease income.
Under joint spousal ownership, the Yarovyi family holds significant liquid assets:
$61,000 USD and 50,000 UAH in cash;
51,000 UAH held in bank accounts.

Meanwhile, Yarovyi’s wife, daughter, and son have been living cost-free in a Dnipro apartment owned by a third party since August 2023. In Nikopol, the family has retained usage rights to a 37.5 sq. m municipal housing apartment since 2005.
Additionally, the family owns a combined 5.5 hectares of farmland in the Mozolevska community (Nikopol district):

In January 2022, two additional 1.75-hectare plots in the same village were registered under his wife and daughter (value listed as «unknown» in the declaration).
Officially, the head of the district police department owns no vehicles. However, since March 2023, he has been driving a premium Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 (2016 model). The SUV—valued at 1.31 million UAH (over $35,000 USD at the time of purchase)—is registered solely under his wife, Iryna.
