Drobovych Mykola Vasylovych
Official biography.
Head of the Rava-Ruska Customs Post of the Lviv Customs of the State Fiscal Service.
Born on 18.05.1970.
Dirt on him
In Lviv region, a Vinnytsia resident, the head of a customs post, was detained for bribery.

SBU operatives detained Mykola Drobovych, head of the customs post in Rava-Ruska, a resident of Vinnytsia. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, Mykola Drobovych and his accomplice demanded UAH 21 thousand bribe for unimpeded customs clearance of goods.

However, according to law enforcement, this is not the only case of extortion and bribery. So far, these individuals have been documented to have received bribes of at least UAH 70 thousand. According to his electronic declaration, Mykola Drobovych lives in Vinnytsia.

Together with his wife Iryna, he keeps 420 thousand UAH. In addition, in 2018, Mykola Drobovych, working as the head of the Rava-Ruska customs post, declared UAH 220 thousand in salary. His wife declared only UAH 14 thousand of income from renting property. The city of Rava-Ruska, where Drobovych worked, is located in Lviv region on the border with Poland.
Customs kings: Polusytko’s metastases
The journalists of the business enterprise DELO continue to tell about the whole corrupt clan that one of the most influential Lviv customs officers Volodymyr Polusytok has been forming around him for years. In this part of the program: expensive cars and mansions behind high fences, registered in the names of customs officers’ mothers. Bribes directly in the pockets of officials and the “poor” heads of the Rava-Ruska customs post Mykola Drobovych and Dmytro Yakobchuk.

«Rava-Ruska. This post, and all four shifts working there, which replace each other every 12 hours, work for Volodymyr Polusytko. The senior shifts at Rava are Iryna Novosad, Alla Hanushchak, Orest Kobryn and Olesya Zabrovarna,» journalist Yevhen Plinsky said in his program.
But before we introduce you to these four, it should be noted that the shift managers are still supervised by the head of the customs post and his deputy. Until recently, when Volodymyr Polusytok was at the height of his powers and influence, Rava-Ruska was headed by Mykola Drobovych. He is still listed on official websites as the head of this customs post. He became famous for the fact that in 2018 he was detained by the SBU at the scene of a crime with a bribe in his pocket.

According to the indictment, he and his accomplice extorted UAH 21,000 from entrepreneurs for unimpeded customs clearance of goods. In total, law enforcement officers documented that these individuals received bribes worth UAH 70,000. Despite his “weak nerves” in the face of bribes, Drobovych’s family is not rich, certainly not by official standards: only one 95-square-meter apartment in Kyiv, 52-square-meter apartment in Vinnytsia, and a house in the countryside. Interestingly, Mr. Drobovych, who works in Lviv Oblast, does not declare any housing near his place of work. So, we assume that he commutes to work every day from Vinnytsia, where he is registered. But how? The family doesn’t officially own a car. They probably take a bus. Let law enforcement find out, because an official has to declare such things.
Journalists’ investigation of Lviv customs officers, including Mykola Drobovych:
His deputy, Dmytro Yakobchuk, is even more interesting with curiosities. For almost 25 years of working at the customs office, Yakobchuk has not managed to finish his own apartment. However, he uses this brand new house near Kovel in Volyn for free. In total, the buildings here occupy 246 square meters, with the entrance to the house monitored by CCTV cameras from a high fence.
If they were unlucky with their own homes, they were lucky with their cars. In 2018, the customs officer bought two cars in three times. One in Poland, a Citroen C5, for 93.5 thousand hryvnias. And, attention, a BMW X5 made in 2008 for 90 thousand hryvnias! Such a car on the Ukrainian market costs between 400 and 550 thousand hryvnias, and Yakobchuk bought it for 90 thousand! That is, 5-6 times cheaper than it really costs.
Continuation of the action at customs posts
Lviv activists continue their actions at customs posts to detect smuggling.

Today, activists of the NGOs Autoevrosila, Slaves are not allowed in paradise, Building Ukraine Together, Varta 1, and Priority of Law continued their actions at the Lviv customs posts to detect illegal cargo transportation and reveal possible corruption schemes at the customs, a correspondent of Lemberg-news.info reports.
This was reported by activists Oleh Nakonechnyi (Autoevrosila) and Ivan Sprynskyi.

The customs post they arrived at was Rava-Ruska. During the meeting with the activists, the head of the customs post, Mykola Drobovych, could not clearly explain the “legal procedure that guides employees when determining which vehicles and cargoes will be checked and which will not, and advised to address this issue to the management of the Lviv customs”!
Summary
Mykola Drobovych is a corrupt official, extortionist and fraudster. He actively supported smuggling and other illegal activities while working as a customs officer. He was caught on a bribe.
