Career
In March 2007, when he was appointed first as a senior assistant and then as a deputy prosecutor of the Lychakiv district of Lviv.
In 2008, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor of Solomyansky District of Kyiv.
In 2010, Andriy Mykolayovych returned to Lviv to the regional prosecutor’s office.
In 2017 — Deputy Prosecutor of Lviv Region.
Family
His father is Mykola Holomsha, former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine. Andrii is married.

Instead of true professionals who can really perform their duties with dignity, those who do the will of their employers are appointed to public office, often even contrary to the letter of the law.
This phenomenon is especially common in law enforcement, particularly in the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office, where whole families often work together.
Meet Andriy Mykolayovych Holomsha, Deputy Prosecutor of Lviv Oblast, son of former Deputy Prosecutor General Makhnitsky, Mykola Holomsha.
Andrii Holomsha began his career as a prosecutor in March 2007, when he was first appointed as a senior assistant and later as a deputy prosecutor of the Lychakivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv. However, a year later, Andrii Mykolaiovych changed the Lviv prosecutor’s office to the Kyiv prosecutor’s office and became the deputy prosecutor of the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv. In 2010, Andriy returned to Lviv and worked in various positions in the regional and Lviv city prosecutor’s offices. Today, Andriy Holomsha is the Deputy Prosecutor of Lviv Region, where he was appointed in April 2017.
His sister, Mariana, also made a career in the prosecutor’s office. Andrii’s uncle, Yaroslav Holomsha, was the head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kyiv region. Mykola Yaroslavovych took care of his relatives and got them “bread and butter” positions.
ANDRII HOLOMSHA’S DECLARATION
We also analyzed Andrii Holomsha’s declarations for 2015 and 2016. The prosecutor’s income during this time amounted to UAH 484 thousand, and his wife’s income was UAH 195 thousand.
The prosecutor’s family lives in a house in the village of Solonka, on the outskirts of Lviv.
The owner of this 264 m² estate is the prosecutor’s father-in-law, Roman Martynyshyn. Therefore, the prosecutor, along with his wife and daughter, have only had the right to use it since 2013.
Since 2012, Andriy Mykolayovych has had the right to use a service apartment in Lviv.
However, why did he need this apartment after 2013, when he received the right to use an elite house near Lviv? After all, service apartments are given to those who really need housing.
The prosecutor from Lviv region has UAH43 thousand in a bank account and UAH 50 thousand in cash. His wife has another UAH 80 thousand in cash and a little more than UAH 5 thousand in the bank.
The declaration also states that the prosecutor’s father, the first ex-Deputy Prosecutor General Makhnitsky, Mykola Holomsha, has UAH 5.2 million in bank accounts. It is not clear where the man who has worked in the prosecutor’s office all his life got such money.
As we can see, Andrii Mykolaiovych Holomsha also chose a career in the Ukrainian prosecution service, as did most of his family members. We can only guess whether his influential father helped Andrii Holomsha to get a job in the Lviv prosecutor’s office. However, the above facts once again confirm the thesis that nepotism is widespread in Ukrainian law enforcement.

«SBU destroys OSCE ID fraud scheme: hundreds of illegal immigrants tried to use ‘diplomatic’ IDs to cross borders
The SBU conducts systematic measures to counter illegal migration, which threatens the state security of Ukraine. During a special operation, a transnational criminal group was neutralized in Kyiv. The criminals forged IDs of representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) diplomatic monitoring mission.
They sold the fake documents to their clients. Among them were people from countries with a high terrorist threat, in particular from the Middle East. The foreigners used the “certificates” to avoid border and customs procedures under the guise of being members of a diplomatic mission.
According to preliminary data, hundreds of illegal immigrants applied for the “services” of the criminals. By obtaining “diplomatic” immunity, they planned to illegally cross the state borders of different countries.
It was established that the group included several residents of the capital. To disguise their illegal activities, they registered two NGOs and created a “departmental” website with names similar to the official designations of a diplomatic mission.
The criminals sold the finished fake for 1.5 thousand euros for one “certificate”.
A criminal was detained with such a certificate in the Dnipropetrovs’k region in 2017, as reported in the news:
Law enforcers detained one of the group’s organizers in Kyiv while he was handing over a fake ID to a foreigner.
During the searches at the addresses of the dealers’ residences, as well as in the places of production and storage of forged documents, the following were found
computer equipment, communications equipment and draft records with evidence of illegal actions;
forged certificates and seals of “public organizations”.
SBU materials are being used to serve the offenders a notice of suspicion of committing crimes and to choose a measure of restraint.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing in the framework of criminal proceedings under Art. 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to establish all the circumstances of the illegal activity.
The fake OSCE website has a lot of interesting information. In the “public diplomat” section of the website, where theOSCEhas published the names of more than 200 of its public diplomats, we can find the Golomsh clan in its entirety.
Summary
Thanks to his father, a prosecutor, Andriy Holomsha got a “bread and butter” position, which proves once again that nepotism in Ukraine is a natural phenomenon. In addition, the Golomsha “clan” is involved in the OSCE organized crime group, which creates fake OSCE certificates for 1.5 thousand euros, thereby undermining national security.
