A strange court decision
Korban was detained on October 31, 2015 in Dnipropetrovs’k. At first, the court ordered Korban to be placed under house arrest, and on December 28, the court ruled that he be held in a pre-trial detention center.

In 2015, the company’s profit amounted to UAH 5,300,000. And in 2016-2017, this figure was equal to UAH 0 million. Such fluctuations in the company’s profitability may indicate financial fraud that could have been committed by Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov and City Council Chairman Hennadiy Korban.

According to the State Register of Mortgages, GUM LLC previously belonged, through FUNWARD TRADE AND INVESTMENT CORP. from the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, to Israeli citizens Igor Birman and Mikhail Svetlitz, who were registered in the same apartment as Hennadiy Korban’s sister, Victoria Korban. The offshore’s representative in Ukraine was Gennadiy Korban’s business partner, Viktor Mykolayovych Uhryn.
