Biography.
Zahid Hennadiiovych Krasnov (birth name: Zahiddin Gabibulaievych Gabibulaiev) is an industrialist, philanthropist, political and public figure, leader of the Hromadska Syla party.
He has lived in Dnipro since 1983. He owns heavy industry enterprises, agricultural enterprises, and hotel and restaurant businesses.
A publication on genshtab.info claims that he changed his name from Zahiddin to Zahid, and in the 1990s was one of the active members of the so-called Mukhtar Brigade (and it was as a member of this brigade that he received the nickname “Zahid”).
By the decision of the Supervisory Board of PJSC “Dnipropetrovs’kyi Arrow Plant” dated 28.03.2014 Zagid Krasnov was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DnSZ PJSC. He voluntarily resigned in December 2015.

Political activity
Businessman Krasnov began his political career in 2002, when he was elected to the Dnipro City Council. In March 2006, he was re-elected to the Dnipro City Council from the Gromada party of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko. In the city council, he headed the Lazarenko Bloc faction, which formed a coalition with the Party of Regions, the Communist Party, the Viche Party, and the Natalia Vitrenko Bloc. For his part, Zahid Krasnov became the leader of this coalition, which was named “Native Dnipropetrovs’k”. Thus, his influence on city processes in 2006-2010 was decisive.
Before the next local elections (October 2010), Zahid Krasnov created his own party, Hromadska Syla. However, his dreams of creating his own faction in the Dnipropetrovs’k City Council were not to be, as the party was denied registration. He then ran as a candidate for the People’s Order party, which lost the election and did not get into the city council.
At the same time, Krasnov ran for mayor of Dnipro (October 31, 2010) as a member of the Our Ukraine party. He ended up in fourth place, behind Ivan Kulichenko, Andriy Pavelko, and Svyatoslav Oliynyk.
In the 2010 presidential election, Krasnov headed the local headquarters of candidate Serhiy Tihipko (Strong Ukraine party).
In 2012, Krasnov joined the Ukrainian Choice movement led by the odious Viktor Medvedchuk, the godfather of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In 2015, the businessman-turned-politician was defeated again in the mayoral elections in Dnipro.
Zahid Krasnov ran for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine twice (in by-elections in 2016 and early elections in 2019) in the majority constituency in Dnipro, but lost both times.
Unofficial biography
In political terms, the Dnipro businessman-deputy is remembered for his promiscuity and frequent changes of party tickets. In his search for political support, he jumped from one extreme to the other — from former President Viktor Yushchenko’s Our Ukraine to Viktor Medvedchuk’s clearly pro-Russian Ukrainian Choice.
For example, in December 2012, Krasnov campaigned for a Customs Union with Russia. He even hosted a roundtable discussion on this topic in Dnipro together with Medvedchuk, Russian President Putin’s advisor Sergey Glazyev, and his longtime partner in business and city politics, Party of Regions MP Oleh Tsarev.
In 2014, during the Maidan, Krasnov helped organize titushky units in Dnipro to suppress protests, and after a while he switched to the opposition and supported the protesters.
By the way, the MP clearly demonstrated his reputation as a “political chameleon” in his last parliamentary advertising campaign, where he used billboards of different colors and with symbols of different parties.
His career has also been marked by criminal offenses. In 2012, Krasnov was arrested for a fatal car accident that occurred in 2008. Back then, in an accident on Zavodska Embankment in Dnipro, the driver was killed in a collision with the deputy’s Porsche Cayenne. However, the case was soon closed and the charges dropped.
Various sources accuse Krasnov of racketeering during his early business career. Allegedly, in the «dashing 90s,» the future MP was a member of a criminal group of a criminal authority nicknamed Mukhtar. And after the beginning of his political career, he made a fortune on scams with land allotments and permits, together with his business partner, MP Oleh Tsarev.
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, the headquarters of parliamentary candidate Zahid Krasnov was accused of manipulation. The police of Dnipropetrovs’k region even opened criminal proceedings on the fact of registration of a technical candidate against one of Krasnov’s main competitors, Maksym Kuryachyi.

The son of a candidate for mayor of Dnipro became a deputy of the regional council

Journalists of the publication TEXTY.org.ua put this organization on the “black list” of pseudo-sociological firms, as it repeatedly published data adjusted in favor of Zahid Krasnov in the 2016 parliamentary by-elections in the 27th district in Dnipro.
According to the Ukrainian service for monitoring the registration data of Ukrainian companies “Opendatabot”, this “International Analytical Center…” is actually a private enterprise registered to a certain Oleksiy Lozovyi.
According to the Ukrainian Internet, a man named Oleksiy Lozovoy posted a resume on a job search website back in 2017. According to the resume, he worked for the NGO “Public Power” in Dnipro.
Lozovyi listed his experience as: “organizing holidays, conducting and supervising social surveys, supervising the process during elections, participating in elections, working with computers” (language and spelling preserved).
It also indicates the education of the owner of the fake polling company: National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine, specialty “Materials science and metal processing, metal pressure treatment, rolling mill operator”.
A simple search on social media helps to identify the “metallurgist-sociologist”. He is a member of Zagid Krasnov’s team: Oleksii Lozovyi posted photos with other assistants of the now scandalous city councilor and campaigned for his boss on Facebook.
Equally mysterious is the so-called “Foundation for Eastern European Initiatives (Slovakia),” which allegedly commissioned the study.
The Ukrainian Internet knows nothing about this organization, as there is no information about its activities or members. What the Foundation does in Ukraine and why it was attracted to the 25th electoral district of Dnipro remains unknown. “This mysterious “Foundation” was only revealed when it voiced fake sociology in favor of Zahid Krasnov.
Scandal in Dnipro: people are given oranges against coronavirus by Zahid Krasnov
In Dnipro, allegedly on behalf of city council member Zahid Krasnov, “coronavirus kits” were distributed to citizens, which contained rotten oranges and flyers from his party, Hromadska Syla.
This was reported by Obozrevatel, citing local media.
According to the journalists, one of the women wondered “how to give this to children.”
“Today, activists from Hromadska Syla came to see me. Zagid Krasnov, brought me this gift. I wonder if Zahid Krasnov is saving his family from the coronavirus with this kit! Why should I give this to my children? Who do they think we are?” she said.

According to the City Council, members of election commissions, appointed by Krasnov, a politician with a criminal record, are deliberately delaying the vote count, thus sabotaging the prompt and adequate summarization of the local election results.
A video from the Chechelivka District TEC has been posted online, showing the ugly behavior of members of the commissions from the Servant of the People, Batkivshchyna, and Za Maybutnye — the political parties from which Zahid Krasnov and his sponsors appointed their people to the election commissions.

A group of athletic young men led by Dnipro City Council member Ruslan Krasnov, the son of city council member and parliamentary candidate Zahid Krasnov, attacked utility workers with baseball bats who came to arrange flower beds near a cafe on Naberezhna Street.
