One of only 50 limited-edition Mercedes-Maybach S 680 V12 Edition 100 vehicles in the world, valued at approximately $350,000, has been spotted in Kyiv. The elite vehicle is registered to a Ukrainian company, LLC «Botanik», whose beneficiary is lawyer and businessman Ivan Grechkivskyi. This fact has drawn the attention of investigators due to the company’s complex ownership structure and the businessman’s influential family ties within the Ukrainian judiciary.

Ivan Grechkivskyi officially manages an extensive network of companies specializing in development, asset management, and real estate operations. According to the state registry of legal entities, he controls a number of enterprises, including «Redutna Estate», «Golden Gate Asset Management», «Immobiliare Ukraine», «BTS House», and «Family Garden». The total value of the assets operated by these structures amounts to tens of millions of hryvnias.
Journalists discovered that the ownership of LLC «Botanik», the company under which the expensive Mercedes-Maybach is registered, is structured through international corporate instruments. The direct founder of the firm is the Maltese company John Galt Holdings Ltd. Open corporate data from Malta confirms that Grechkivskyi himself is one of the ultimate owners of this foreign holding. Experts note that while using European jurisdictions is entirely legal, it significantly complicates the monitoring of real financial flows.
Another major factor driving public interest in the businessman is his lineage. Ivan Grechkivskyi is the son of Pavlo Grechkivskyi, a former member of the High Council of Justice and one of the most influential figures in the Ukrainian judicial system over the past decade. Pavlo Grechkivskyi’s name has repeatedly appeared in high-profile anti-corruption investigations and disciplinary proceedings widely covered by the Ukrainian media.
Key Context: There are currently no records of criminal convictions or indictments directly targeting Ivan Grechkivskyi in open court registries or official law enforcement databases. His business activities remain strictly within the legal framework.
The appearance of the exclusive Mercedes-Maybach in the capital has reignited a broader discussion regarding the transparency of big business in Ukraine. The network of interconnected companies, the use of Maltese offshore structures, and deep ties to the legal elite once again raise questions about the true owners of high-end assets. It remains unconfirmed whether Ivan Grechkivskyi drives the exclusive supercar himself or if the vehicle was purchased for the use of a third party.
