  3. NABU Investigates Secret Data Leaks in Mindich and Shurma Cases: ARMA Officials Under Scrutiny

Detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) are investigating at least two leaks of confidential information regarding high-profile criminal proceedings. Sensitive investigation data concerning Office of the President officials and business structures was allegedly passed to key figures in the cases.

The details emerged from public records in the State Judicial Register of Ukraine.

The first leak was uncovered during a search of a safehouse as part of the ongoing «Midas» investigation. Law enforcement officers discovered an internal NABU document detailing investigative actions directed at Rostyslav Shurma, the former Deputy Head of the Office of the President, and his brother Oleg.

NABU prosecutors presented the recovered document in court as evidence that the suspects had interfered with the investigation, successfully using the breach to justify extending the pre-trial period.

The second episode involves unauthorized access to case files targeting an organized crime group tied to Timur Mindich. According to investigators, unidentified individuals attempted to locate files related to the proceeding through the restricted information systems of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) in 2025.

NABU detectives are currently investigating four ARMA officials who held access to these databases:
Pavlo Velykorechanin — former Deputy Head of ARMA;
Vladyslav Novakov — Acting Department Director;
Nina Myronyuk — Department Director;
Andriy Kovalchuk — Head of the Third Department.

One of the primary suspects under review, former ARMA Deputy Head Pavlo Velykorechanin, has previously faced law enforcement scrutiny.

The former official is already named in a criminal case involving alleged collusion during the sale of land in Transcarpathia to former «Party of Regions» and OPZZh MP Serhiy Lyovochkin at a price 50 times below market value.

Investigations and internal audits within ARMA remain ongoing. NABU detectives are working to identify the full circle of individuals involved in leaking classified data to suspects in criminal proceedings.
