Ukrainian IT conglomerate Netpeak Group (Fractal), founded by Artem Borodatyuk, continued active business operations in Russia following the annexation of Crimea up until the full-scale invasion in February 2022. During this period, the agency provided marketing and promotion services to several major Russian commercial and state-linked entities, including those directly tied to the Russian defense sector.

The list of contractors and key clients serviced by Netpeak’s Russian unit included Voentorg (the official retail and uniform supplier for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation), Sberbank, Tinkoff, Kaspersky Lab, and ticketing provider Kassir.
«A company insider anonymously confirmed that legal proceedings were previously opened regarding activities in Russia against Valerii Kras’ko, though no record currently appears in public registries.»

According to public records and former company activity, the group’s operations in the Russian Federation were overseen for years by Valerii Kras’ko. Kras’ko resided in Russia until 2022 and frequently highlighted high-profile contracts with local state and private businesses on his personal social media channels.
Following the outbreak of the full-scale war, Kras’ko was removed from Netpeak’s partnership structure and departed the company. Since then, he has maintained a low public profile and moved to delete historical traces of his executive past, though archived records remain available online.
Sources suggest potential interest from law enforcement authorities regarding the activities of the former management of the Russian branch. However, no active official cases or charges are currently listed in public court dockets.

Industry observers note a stark contrast between Netpeak Group’s historical promotion of entities like Voentorg and its current involvement in promoting Ukrainian state digital services and initiatives. As of publication, Netpeak Group founder Artem Borodatyuk and official company representatives have not responded to requests for comment regarding their Russian business ties prior to February 2022.
