Anna Mykhailova, a prosecutor at the Pryluky District Prosecutor’s Office in the Chernihiv region, has acquired a 2022 Mazda CX-5 crossover for 1.07 million UAH. According to official asset declaration records, the private sale agreement with seller Veronika Ryabokon was completed on August 27, 2026. The purchase has drawn public attention because the vehicle’s cost virtually equals the prosecutor’s entire annual official salary, following her receipt of state union financial aid.

The purchase price aligns with current market rates for a used 2022 Mazda CX-5, which traded between $21,000 and $26,000 (0.94–1.16 million UAH) in August 2026. Prior to this purchase, the family’s primary vehicle was a 2012 Hyundai Elantra bought in May 2019 for 182,000 UAH.
According to financial disclosures for 2025, the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office paid Mykhailova 1.05 million UAH in salary. Her remaining reported income consisted of:
6,400 UAH in bank interest from Oschadbank.
1,200 UAH in non-monetary gifts from the prosecutor’s union.
2,000 UAH in financial assistance from the Chernihiv Regional Trade Union of Prosecutor’s Office Employees.
The family’s real estate holdings remain modest. Her husband, Oleksandr Mykhailov, owns a 22 m² apartment and holds a 33% share in a 46 m² apartment, while the prosecutor and their son hold residence rights. He also owns a garage, a 520 m² plot of land, and a small garden house in the village of Lisovi Sorochyntsi.
Despite modest official streams of income, two significant discrepancies in the asset declaration may prompt further evaluation by anticorruption authorities:
Cash Savings: At the end of 2025, Mykhailova reported holding $24,000 in cash (approximately 1 million UAH). Anticorruption regulators typically check whether such liquid reserves accumulated gradually over previous declaration cycles or appeared abruptly.
Undisclosed Spouse Income: Oleksandr Mykhailov works at PrivatBank, but his earnings were left unrecorded in the declaration with the note «Family member did not provide information.» While this is a common formal gap, legal responsibility for complete reporting rests on the declaring official.
The acquisition of a high-value asset alongside substantial cash holdings and undisclosed spousal income provides a clear basis for potential lifestyle monitoring by relevant integrity agencies.
