The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has closed the criminal proceedings against the Textile-Contact group of companies and its co-owner Oleksandr Sokolovsky due to the absence of a crime. Sokolovsky announced the decision on August 27 via Facebook, noting that the case was officially dismissed on August 25 under Clause 2, Part 1, Article 284 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The group received the notification from prosecutors following an appeal submitted through the StopTysk business protection portal.

The investigation, launched by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), involved allegations of illicit enrichment through public procurement of textile products, as well as claims of supplying inferior quality goods at inflated prices. The company first learned of the probe from the State Register of Court Decisions in March 2025.
In response, group entities—including LLC Textile-Contact and LLC TK-Home Textile—underwent comprehensive independent audits, expert evaluations, and additional quality control checks for the State Operator for Supply. The findings confirmed that all supplied goods fully complied with the technical specifications of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Sokolovsky attributed the legal pressure to attempts by competitor-importers to sideline a domestic Ukrainian manufacturer from state tenders.
«No quality issues or non-compliance were identified during the audit process that has been ongoing since late 2025.»
This marks the second major case against the businessman to be dismissed due to a lack of evidence. In September 2024, the Holosiivskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv closed a separate investigation regarding property assets of a former pioneer camp, where potential state damages had previously been estimated at UAH 46 million.
Ownership Structure: LLC Textile-Contact was founded by Oleksandr Sokolovsky alongside the Helion venture capital fund.
Financial Results: Despite the legal challenges, the company’s revenue grew by 8.3% in 2025, reaching UAH 1.15 billion.
