The details were disclosed in the official’s financial reports for 2024–2025.
Yaroslav Bakaliar has served as deputy to Mayor Ivan Dyriv since April 2024, following a lengthy career as a local council member and private entrepreneur. His wife, Maria Bakaliar, heads the Department of Economic Analysis and Forecasting at the same municipality.
For 2025, the couple’s combined official salary from the city council reached nearly 1.2 million UAH (706,000 UAH earned by Yaroslav Bakaliar and 489,000 UAH by his wife). The family’s declared assets include:
Real Estate: A 253.9 m² residential house in Mala Turia (registered under his wife’s name), an apartment, several land plots, and a 325 m² automotive service station featuring a cafeteria (50% owned by the deputy mayor).
Vehicles: A Volkswagen Touran, a VAZ, and a 2016 Audi A3 purchased by his wife in 2024 for 580,000 UAH.
Cash Savings: 890,000 UAH, $12,000 USD, and €20,500 EUR.

The circumstances surrounding Bakaliar’s appointment in April 2024 also drew public attention, as his candidacy succeeded only on the second attempt after a nine-month delay. During the final vote, members of the «Holos» faction abstained, citing ongoing legal disputes involving the mayor, while Bakaliar himself recused his vote, citing a conflict of interest.
