The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC) has frozen the assets of prosecutor Ihor Bilodid’s family, totaling 7.5 million UAH, as part of an ongoing special forfeiture case. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) identified significant discrepancies between the civil servant’s official income and the value of assets registered to his relatives between 2021 and 2024.

The list of blocked assets includes luxury real estate and premium vehicles registered to the prosecutor and his wife, Olena Bilodid. Investigators believe the property was acquired on the direct instructions of the suspect.

The seized assets include:
A portion of a three-room apartment in a new residential building (90.9 sq. m) on Balakireva St.;
A two-room apartment (53.3 sq. m) on Danylevskoho St.;
A residential house (296.8 sq. m) with a 0.14-hectare land plot and a swimming pool on Kryuchonkina St.;
A Mercedes-Benz GLE 43 AMG vehicle.

In addition to the couple’s assets, major acquisitions by other family members have come under scrutiny by anti-corruption authorities. Specifically, Bilodid’s mother-in-law purchased a 54 sq. m apartment in the prestigious «Luxembourg» residential complex on Dynamivska Street, which she gifted to her granddaughter, Sofiia Bilodid, in 2024. The market value of this property is estimated at 65,000–70,000 USD.

«A comparison of the income and expenditure data of Bilodid and his family members between 2021 and 2024 provides grounds to believe that their lawful income did not allow for such expenditures,» SAPO representatives stated.

The prosecutor’s children, 20-year-old Sofiia and Oleh Bilodid, also acquired high-end foreign cars during this period. In September 2024, the daughter became the owner of an Audi Q3 (2020 model year, valued at approximately 25,000–30,000 USD), while the son acquired an Audi A4 (2018 model year, with a market price of around 20,000 USD) in July 2023.

The initiated special asset forfeiture process could potentially escalate into a full-scale criminal prosecution. Legal experts and civil society groups are already calling for the prosecutor’s immediate dismissal from service, alongside criminal prosecution under the illicit enrichment statute (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Furthermore, investigators are expected to verify allegations regarding Ihor Bilodid’s potential links to the shadow economy, specifically the reports of his involvement in protecting and coordinating counterfeit business operations.
