The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science, and Innovation, Serhiy Babak, has disclosed his annual financial statement. According to the submitted data, the Member of the Parliament of Ukraine and his partner, Olha Rudnieva, own premium real estate in Kyiv and the surrounding region, a fleet of five vehicles, valuable works of art, and a substantial portfolio of government bonds. This information stems from an analysis of the official asset declaration of the official regarding his income and property status.

Serhiy Babak owns a Kyiv apartment spanning 162 m², purchased in 2006 for 191,000 UAH. According to expert estimates, the market value of similar housing in Kyiv at that time fluctuated between 300,000 and 600,000 UAH. Additionally, since 2003, the MP has owned three land plots totaling over 23 acres and a countryside house (193.2 m²) in the village of Blystavytsia, Bucha district.
His partner, Olha Rudnieva, declared two Kyiv apartments: one measuring 78 m² (acquired in 2012 for 735,000 UAH) and another measuring 91.7 m² (acquired in 2017 for 1.07 million UAH). She also owns a parking space valued at 280,000 UAH, purchased in 2022.
Five vehicles are registered to the couple. Apart from a domestic LADA 212140 SUV and a Honda CB650F motorcycle, the MP owns two BMW cars:
BMW M135I (2013 model year) — purchased in 2020 for 568,000 UAH.
BMW 530E (2019 model year) — purchased in 2022 for 1.2 million UAH.
Since 2020, Olha Rudnieva has driven a Volkswagen Tiguan crossover valued at 1.04 million UAH. She also owns valuable personal property—a collection of paintings by renowned Ukrainian artists Maria Prymachenko and Evgenia Gapchinska. The value of the artwork is not specified in the document, as the items were acquired before mandatory asset declaration rules took effect.
The primary source of financial revenue for Serhiy Babak at the Verkhovna Rada remains his parliamentary salary, which totaled 855,000 UAH for the year, alongside 817,000 UAH in expense compensations related to his deputy duties. Meanwhile, Olha Rudnieva declared an income of 4.72 million UAH in wages received from her employment at the «Superhumans Center» Charitable Foundation.
The head of the education committee invests a significant portion of his capital into government securities. Over the past year alone, he purchased Domestic Government Bonds (OVDP) totaling more than 9 million UAH. The total nominal value of his bond portfolio currently stands at 6.68 million UAH, while passive income via coupon payments brought the politician an additional 1.5 million UAH.
Regarding cash assets, the couple holds 140,000 UAH and 280,000 USD in cash combined. More than 3 million UAH is kept in bank accounts, primarily with PrivatBank and VST Bank. Additionally, Serhiy Babak listed a 12.5% share in Investservice LLC and his status as the founder of the «Ukrainian Heritage» Charitable Foundation.
