The state agency PlayCity has launched administrative proceedings to terminate the operating licenses of the prominent online casino Betking (operating under the legal entity Slots U.A. LLC). The move follows repeated violations of gambling legislation detected during a routine audit. However, the revocation process has been temporarily put on hold due to a parallel court case that will directly influence the final decision.

The friction between the regulator and the gambling operator escalated late this winter. Following a scheduled inspection completed on February 27, 2026, PlayCity imposed financial sanctions on Slots U.A. LLC. The company was also issued an official directive demanding the immediate rectification of compliance failures within its gambling operations.
Since this marks a repeated failure to comply with gambling business regulations within a single calendar year, PlayCity initiated the formal process to strip the operator of its permits. The revocation proceedings target the internet casino licenses granted to the company in 2021 and 2023.
The hearing to officially annual the licenses was originally scheduled for March 16, 2026. Slots U.A. LLC was formally integrated into the administrative proceedings, granting its legal team the right to submit explanations and objections regarding the agency’s claims.
«The hearing for the license annulment was scheduled for March 16, 2026. The company was officially involved in the administrative proceedings and granted the right to submit its explanations and objections,» the regulator’s documentation states.
However, just three days before the scheduled hearing, the regulator’s plans shifted. On March 13, PlayCity issued a decision to suspend the administrative proceedings.
The sudden halt was triggered by an ongoing parallel lawsuit. The future handling of the Betking online casino licenses hinges entirely on the outcome of this court case. The regulator will resume the administrative process as soon as the relevant court ruling enters full legal force.
Consequently, as of today, Betking’s licenses remain formally valid, but the mechanism for their termination has been officially set in motion. The final resolution of this case and the company’s future in the market will now be decided in the courtroom.
