Relatives of Lviv Oblast Deputy Prosecutor Ihor Sharavara have received financial compensation from the Ukrainian state budget for property allegedly damaged by Russian aggression, using the funds to purchase new apartments and land. However, according to investigative journalists, no real estate officially owned by the prosecutor’s family has actually suffered any war-related damage.

According to state registry monitoring, the active acquisition of property by members of the Lviv prosecutor’s family began shortly after the invasion. Over the past few years, several properties in prestigious suburbs of Lviv transitioned into the ownership of his close relatives:
2022: The prosecutor’s 94-year-old grandmother, Khrystyna Shlapak, became the owner of a land plot in the town of Novoyavorivsk.
2024: His mother, Oksana Sharavara, registered ownership of two apartments—one in the village of Lypnyky (Solonka Territorial Community) and another in the town of Pustomyty.
2025: His father, Vasyl Sharavara, acquired an apartment in the upscale suburb of Sokilnyky.
Property deeds explicitly state that these assets were acquired through state compensation for real estate damaged or destroyed as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

The core issue raised by the investigation is the legitimacy of these payouts. Media outlets, citing internal sources and data from fellow investigative journalists, report that no actual property belonging to the Sharavara family has sustained any damage during the war.
«As far as our colleagues are aware, not a single piece of real estate belonging to the family of prosecutor Sharavara has been affected by military actions.»
To date, no official comment has been issued by Ihor Sharavara or representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the legality of the budget funds received by his family. Anti-corruption investigations and audits into the allocation of state compensation programs, such as «eRecovery», remain a high priority for civil society and law enforcement.
