Ukraine’s Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) plans to submit the indictment against Member of Parliament Anna Skorokhod and her assistant, Serhii Kapatsyn, to court shortly after October 5, 2026. The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) restricted the defense’s timeframe to review the case files, granting them a total of 55 days.
The HACC granted the ruling on August 11 following a motion by anti-corruption prosecutors. Once the 55-day period expires, the defense team will be legally deemed to have fully exercised its right to access the pre-trial investigation materials.

The case traces back to December 2025, when the SBU, NABU, and SAPO uncovered an organized criminal group operating in Kyiv, allegedly led by the lawmaker. Investigators allege that Skorokhod and her accomplices extorted a $250,000 bribe from an entrepreneur in exchange for imposing National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) sanctions on a competitor.
The court initially set bail for Skorokhod at 3.028 million UAH. The HACC Appeals Chamber later increased the bail amount to 4 million UAH. Although required to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet during earlier stages, the court eventually lifted that condition and granted her permission to travel abroad.
Skorokhod maintains her innocence, stating that she «never demanded money nor offered bribes.»
