The brother-in-law of Vladyslav Faliush, Deputy Head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, has acquired a luxury apartment in Bukovel and nearly four acres of prime land near Khmelnytskyi. The total value of the properties exceeds $300,000, despite the owner’s modest business earnings.
The findings were published in a recent investigation by journalists from Bihus.Info.
According to the investigative report, Timur Bichkanov—the brother of Faliush’s wife—purchased a 40-square-meter apartment in the luxury Glacier hotel, situated in the heart of the Bukovel ski resort. The estimated market value of the property is approximately $160,000.
In addition to the mountain estate, while Vladyslav Faliush was serving in public office in the Khmelnytskyi region, his relative acquired 1.5 hectares (~3.7 acres) of land near the regional capital. The land is valued at an estimated $150,000.
Journalists noted that the owner secured all necessary permits for residential construction remarkably quickly after the acquisition.
On paper, Timur Bichkanov is registered as an entrepreneur. However, source data reviewed by Bihus.Info suggests his business revenues do not match the scale of these high-value purchases.
«Bichkanov’s business performance is modest at best, raising significant questions about who the actual investor behind these properties really is,» the investigative report stated.
Vladyslav Faliush, Deputy Head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, denied any connection to the assets. In comments to journalists, the official stated he has no relation to his relative’s financial transactions or real estate holdings.
Law enforcement agencies have not yet commented on the details published in the investigation.
